So we've all seen optical illusions like these before:



The reason these happen is because it's a 2D image that we try to perceive in 3D. That's why we see these stairs that never seem to get anywhere. Another famous one is the impossible fork:



On the left, there are two square prongs, but on the right, there are 3 circle ones! Again, it's the same kind of illusion that tricks our brain into forming something that doesn't exist. One of my favorites is:



The beans appear to be moving, but they're actually not going anywhere. It's the fact that they're arranged in such a way that your brain thinks that they're moving around.

I like the mobius strip, as well as some of M.C. Escher's works.

You look up into the sky, and see a curious form flying down towards you. It is a Hydreigon, and it lands in front of you and says...

The illusion here is that squares A and B are actually the same shade of gray, but we perceive them as different shades to keep them uniform of what the picture is supposed to be.
