hopefully i'm not the only one here who's excited for the release of super smash brothers brawl for the nintendo wii. this is the place to talk about brawl; share information on the game, talk about characters, etc. personally, i love the addition of many of the new characters such as snake and the whole idea behind the new adventure mode: the subspace emessary. anyway, feel free to add anything related to the game. all opinions are welcome.

Oh God no, I'm definitely excited for this game! Once I get a copy I will probably lock myself in my room for.... A month.

10 Bucks says that the moment this game comes out, first player plays it for 24 hour straight, gets every single achievement, looks at himself in the mirror and screams at the top of his lungs, "THIS GAME SUCKS!".

I highly doubt it. The sheer vastness of this game guarentees that will not be the case. Damn I need a Wii

*PLUS* adding to Canarith's post, with the online Wii play, Nintendo could just SEND update patches for new characters, and new events/items/trophies. Also, you can make your own maps which totally kicks booty. By the way, I played the Japanese Brawl (my friend is a freak and gets games imported instead of having to wait) and I'm the best with Toon Link (not the best in the world, my personal best).

neyro, you know that i know you and therefore know how insane you are. anyone who plays this game will instantly fall in love with it and when they beat it, they'll just start over andbeat it again! this is going to be the wii's premier game and will make huge amounts of money for nintendo.

And you know that I know that you know that I'm insane. I make it my job to tell everyone I'm insane. I still stand by my original opinion. Watch something TOTALLY unexpected come out of nowhere and have a HUGE competition with Brawl in terms of popularity. You mark my words.

Final Fantasy Dissidia is trying to compete with brawl. It's an FF fighting game that features characters such as Squall, Sephiroth, and (hopefully) Yuna.

brawl doesn't have any real competition. if there is another final fantasy game coming out, it doesn't have the same hype that smash bros. does.

I played Brawl and it pretty much felt like meele 1,5. Still really awesome though and lucario was one awesome character!

True, but there are actually more fans of FF (which sucks balls) than of brawl, and making an FF fighting game just makes their brain-washed fanatics of followers scream with nerdy joy. I personally only like FF12, and that's about it, and as far as SSBB goes, I will definitely cut in line in front of the nearest fat 11 year-old because I've actually gotten to a store with a new game I was desperate to get and (5 times this happened) some little fat kid waddles out with the last copy. What the schools should be doing is make all year-round Gym. I had fitness training in the beginning of the year (Cut my time from 14:45 to 9:54), only 60 days a year... Make the kids play DDR with their feet not their hands obviously, and I would be HAPPY to get the last copy of DDR taken by a chubby little kid than me because they could find working out to be fun . SSBB is awesome, I can't wait to get it and I'm going to look everywhere for it when it comes out.

final fantasy games are more available and in greater number than super smash bros. games, but that doesn't mean there are more people who will buy the new ff game over brawl. brawl is more awaited than any other game for the wii and from what i know, almost anyone that can buy it, will buy it. personally, if i saw a little chubby kid walk out with last copy, i'd maim him and take it.

Brawl is at the top of my list as far as buying games is concerned.

Anyways, back on topic, only reason I will ever consider buying brawl: Kirby. I still hope Brawl gets owned by sucking really bad. Heh..

I highly doubt that nintendo will delay the release date again ONE WEEK before the game comes out. By now they've probably fixed all of the bugs and added all the characters etc. Besides, the release date has already been changed like 5 times.
