I know you're saying something scientific, but it's a teensy bit rude to question my intelligence by saying "I suppose he told you he misses his owner?" Anyway, science makes mistakes anyway. So what if the dog forgets, there's still a thing called the subconscious that stores things forgotten, and can come back to memory after short or very long periods of time.
