In the newest Sonic game Sonic Generations,which character would you prefer to play as?Modern Sonic or Classic Sonic?

While I like Classic Sonic games better than Modern Sonic games for the most part, I'm more interested in playing as Modern Sonic in Generations because it looks like they've really gotten the whole formula down now, and it'll be a blast to play through old stages in the Modern Sonic style.

Probably Classic SOnic. I've been playing as Modern Sonic for a while now, it would be cool to play as Classic Sonic in epic 3D. =D

Classic hands down.

The new age Sonic fans don't realize that the Blue Blur was cooler as a 2D game.

I prefer the modern generation because it has the same game play as sonic adventure 2 my favorite sonic game ever

I would say classic, but the modern has Sonic Adventure 1 and 2, which are the best Sonic games of all time. The games after it are fun game play speaking, but story development is atrocious.

Overall I'd say classic sonic.  Don't get me wrong though; there are some modern sonic levels that are just absolutely crazy fun and fast, but I'd have to say the modern levels lack perfect consistency like the the classic ones.

In my opinion I prefer both, but if I had to pick one, I would pick the Classic sonic.
This game gives me a great appearance, since this game will be like the first sonic game of the series, I still remember that when my PS1 broke, or my PS2 controller broke, I take the mega drive and go play it, I really love to play the first sonic game of the series, as they are part of my childhood, I killed my boredom with that game, not only the sonic game, there were other games that I used to play, a motocross game, a ninja game which when I played when I was young it was hard to me,  a jewel game, streets of rage, golden axe and other games that I don't remember now, these were good days... BUT returning to the what really matters, the classic sonic games were cooler then the new sonic games, the new sonic games are kind a mixture of boring and difficulty, as I heard somewhere, this is Sega's final hope in the sonic games, I'm not really sure if it is true, I just remember it as I had seen it somewhere.

I will try to buy this game since I still got these advanced video-games, I got the Xbox 360 for now, I  guess I have to wait for my brother to take away the Xbox 360 and replace it with the PS3, so I can buy the game I think this game seriously ROCKS.

After talking too much, I will say again my opinion: I prefer the Classic Sonic, I like the Modern Sonic too, Sonic grown up is really cool too.

Honestly, I prefer Modern Sonic, Nya~.
It was fun running through Classic Sonic's levels and all, but there were a few reasons I chose Modern over Classic.
1) Modern Sonic had the best level music remixes.
2) You can get a better view of the beautiful graphics and background while running around in a 3D zone, as opposed to 2D.
3) The levels that were previously a bit less ok in there previous modern games were remixed into far superior levels.
I still love the Classic sonic era and levels in Generations, but Modern Sonic's levels were just a bit more enjoyable for me, Nya~.

I've played the demo and I would choose classic over modern because I'm more familiar with the classics but on the other hand, modern is pretty good too .

Classic Sonic would be my choice because he is better looking than Modern Sonic and Sonic games are better in 2D than 3D.

   Classic. I love 2d games. Side scrolling is just my thing.

As much as I hate to say it, Modern Sonic is better then retro Sonic. Before generations I had never played a modern Sonic game, but this game changed my mind altogether! I like the abilities of modern sonic and speedruning as him is much more fun then retro Sonic could ever be. I probably won't buy another Modern Sonic game, (Mainly because of the baggage) but this was still a good one.

Definitely modern sonic. Because it just really made me excited to play some of the levels and bosses from the modern games. Don't get me wrong. I LOVED the classic ones. But the modern ones just had the certain feel to them, you know?

That's pretty hard to say. I love playing as both characters, but if I had to choose I would probably pick classic sonic because of the 2d awesomeness. But again, both sonic characters are a blast to play as.

i dont have the game but i wood play as clasic sonic

I prefer Modern Sonic as he's much faster, his levels are way larger and they just feel more well done than the Classic levels, as though SEGA were pushing Modern Sonic

I liked playing as both but I have to say someone the stages didn't go quite well with classic Sonic. I would chose Modern only because those stages are fast pace, but I really dislike Planet Wisp.
