I couldn't find this particular topic, so I will make it. Does anyone have a movie that is a guilty pleasure? You know, a movie that you get teased about for liking or a movie that you don't tell a lot of your friends that you actually like? I will start. My guilty pleasure movie is Moulin Rouge. Yes, it is cheesy. Yes, the first 20 minutes is just plain ridiculous and weird. But to me, it is something you have to keep an open mind and get past the first 20 minutes. It seems that the only people who remotely understand my guilty pleasure movie are my theater friends. Although, it isn't surprising that it seems it is more the theater people who understand this movie to appreciate it. But even some theater friends joke around about me liking this movie. Anyway, the floor now belongs to you all. I will ask that there be no teasing anyone who posts here about other peoples guilty pleasures

I would have to say that mine is Pee Wee's big adventure. This movie is really for little kids but I like it a lot because it is really weird and it has Pee Wee in it...

billythekidmonster : Haha, yes! I actually still have that on VHS. For some reason, I decided it was one of those things of mine I had to take with me when I moved out. Have not watched it in years, but your post brings up memories. When I was a kid, I actually did the Pee Wee Tequila dance ALL the time. Wasn't so funny now when my mother showed a videotape of me doing that to my fiancée...... But good choice!

rcarter2 : Ha ha ha I remember the Pee Wee dance that was one of my favorite parts about the show. Though I did not see the show until I was about 12 and it was on [adult swim]. I still do not know why it was on [adult swim] I mean the show was for kids... Still I also loved Pee Wee's laugh.

Another movie that I thought of is the live action Flinstones movie. Good times.

Probably Star Trek. Where I live people don't like Star Trek. People have told me its gay and that Star Wars is better.

Ponyo. A movie about a fish/girl/chicken thingy I loved it and that's that.

The live action flinstones movie was cool actually but I got teased for liking it so I gess that counts

With that said, probably Titanic. People always make fun of me for liking Titanic. Then again it's the only sort of love story I actually enjoyed. It was just simply too well done in my opinion. Although the facts about what actually happened are absolute rubbish.

A game that usually am embarrassed to tell anybody about is katamari one of my favorite games of all time

D_Man : Don't get me wrong. Though games weren't my thought when I made the thread, they are more than allowed given that at least one movie is included. No need for apologies.

Anything from Troma is a guilty pleasure, it's all low-budget fun over there.

My favorite movie which I'm a little embarrass for liking is probably Mighty Morphin Power Ranger The Movie, I was always into Power Ranger when I was a little kid. But watching Mighty Morphin Power Ranger the Movie again makes me feel like a little kid lol.... "

Lights : I hear you on that one. I actually watched it on Netflix, forgetting that it shows up on your recently watched section. When my fiancée was watching instantly through or Wii, she saw that and made fun of me so much. I had to say I turned it on for one of the kids that I work with for my job.

rcarter2 : You messed up there no offense though. I own the movie Power Ranger, but hid it on top of my closet if I have any friends over. But its not really something to feel guilty about it's basically something your embarrassed to watch. Even though its a kids movie I would still watch it, because I was also a kid when watching Power Rangers which had bring me back memories when I was a kid and Loved It!

Lights : Yeah, I did mess up. But because of it, I have a way of watching old kid movies on Netflix without my fiancée assuming I'm watching it on my own time But yeah, guilty pleasure isn't a movie you feel 'guilty' about watching, but one you feel embarrassed about and prefer that not many know about, so it still fits. 

I love Conan the Barbarian, not the remake, the original.

It's a guilty pleasure for me because the movie is so silly and cliche. I can't stand cliche stuff most of the time, but i love that movie. Maybe it's just because Arnold Schwarzenegger is in it. I don't know.
