Sometimes I'm a little bit old school so i would have to choose Chrono Trigger for the SNES.In my opinion it's one of the top best RPG's on the SNES alongside Super Mario RPG.

Chrono Cross is a very different game than Chrono Trigger. It has wayyyyy more characters and thus you take much more time to level everyone up. Each PC has a different element, like green and yellow or red and blue. It's just a fairly different game and was only a "spiritual successor" to CT.

I also found Chrono Cross to be longer and have a much higher replay value, seeing as how there are so many characters and side plots you cannot get through one play through. I also found the graphics, story, and characters to be absolutely amazing for a game of it's time, still is in my opinion for today, as well as the whole plot made you think a bit.

Chrono Trigger has great ratings, and is overall a very fun game. I'd prefer it over Chrono Cross.  Also, I heard Chrono Cross really sucked. Chrono Trigger is the way to go.

I have never played Chrono Cross.  Not even sure what system it was on, what the game play was like etc.  Now from what I've read the game play was nothing like Chrono Trigger.  So if anyone has any info on where I can play this game I would be grateful because I LOVED Chrono Trigger.  It was one of the 1st RPG's with action in the turn based system.  It was also one of the 1st games with multiple endings which increased it's replay value.  Characters, story, and the music was absolutely amazing!  I still enjoy Magus's theme song the best....I think.... I would go out on a limb and say Chrono Trigger is one of the top 10 role playing games ever!  Could anyone shed some details on Chrono Cross.  Like is it in the same world/dimension or is it a prequel, or a sequel?
