Well? I'm not sure. 
I know they are unhealthy because your body basically runs faster and a lot better when you sleep, and power drinks ruins that.

I currently have 4 empty Monster: Energy pop bottles by my laptop. Is that a bad thing? =P

There is no debate. No power drinks aren't addicting...at least to me.

Some people become addicted to it like a drug...I never understood why. It doesn't affect me at all..

As you already know, it's unhealthy and can cause a dependency after awhile. You're better off drinking regular juice. Do you always drink energy drinks or is there a reason?

Wow I'm a natural insomniac...I don't need pills or energy drinks.

What you get addicted to specifically is the caffeine. It isn't the most addictive thing out there, but you CAN get addicted to it. Just be careful and don't go overboard is all.

Not to mention the excessive amount of sugar that some of them have. They're no good.

I know a guy who did racing and was sponsored by an energy drink company. He basically got as much free product as he wanted. By grade ten he couldn't function without having several energy drinks in a day. He told me he would get shakes and extremely exhausted if he didn't drink them. He was physically addicted to them since he had so many.

Annette : Woah, that's tough for him. That's a real withdrawal from caffeine. My dad "needs" coffee, but he's not actually addicted because I've seen him go days without it and no withdrawal symptoms.

Well, that's not a good thing.

I don't drink power drinks at all because they're filled with caffene which leads to an insane crash later. Caffene itself is addicting and you will suffer withdrawl if you get too addicted to it. So that's why I don't go there at all.
