I thought a while back we put in place a minimum amount of posts that you had to have in order to become trusted, even with enough points given to you.  I could be imagining it, but I'm sure I saw something about it mentioned.

If I take trust points from someone who I feel doesn't deserve them....like a 5 day old newbie with no posts having 5 or more trust points for example....does that make me a bad person?

I find it quite annoying as well. I have heard some people in classes talking about this site who say to their friends that it's an awesome site for retro games and when they join, they'll make them members so they can do more stuff. So some people get Trusted before making any posts at all. Here I am with over 100 posts, absolutely none of them are spam-like, most of them are at LEAST 100 words (meaning I put thought in what I say), I have been a member for a couple/few months (not long), and I have one trust point. Although I find it annoying that the newbies get trusted for doing nothing, I am honestly not annoyed that I am not Trusted yet. Especially after reading that some of you were members for a long time with hundreds to over a thousand posts before getting trust points. I will simply wait, keep posting respectfully, competing in competitions, and start donating money after I move out of my apartment and into my house next month. I'll get trust points because people think I earned it, and I'll feel better about it than those who get it for doing squat for the site

rcarter2 : Well you probably do deserve it but that's how hard it should be to earn them that how it used to be but now they hand it out like candy

hackerman : Yeah. I would feel kind of cheated if I felt I was in the 'candy' category. I think the thing that is really annoying though are those who boast their 'Trusted Status' when they do nothing.

I think it's a little funny... but hey whatever...

It makes me wish that I had found this site a long time ago so I could have joined when points actually meant something. Oh well, it doesn't change the fact that this site is still amazing.

That is pretty funny and dumb, that can make you wonder what he did to get trusted in the first place...
