Mother 1 + 2 are very popular games...in Japan. I am a big fan of Earthbound and decided to try this out.  It was not what I expected.  This game (if you hadn't noticed) is a translation hack of the games Mother 1 and Mother 2.  This is a pretty good idea, but what the hacker did not know was that Mother 2 is in Japanese.  No possible way to translate it to English unless you play it from somewhere else.  Mother 1, however, works fine.  It works perfectly.

Graphics - 6

To be honest, I think the graphics look old.  They are very bad for a Japanese game.  What I do not like about it is that the battle scene is in black and white (except for the enemy).  I think that it makes the game looks boring in the battle scene.  No effects and no movement, but flashes.

Sound - 9

The sound is a bit okay, it just annoys me for some reason.  The rest of the music and sound effects are okay though.

Addictiveness - 8

This game can get a little addicting because it is like Earthbound, it is going to be fun of course. I tried Mother 1 and it was pretty much the same as Earthbound, only the story is different.

Story - 10

The story is awesome.  I think that all Mother and Earthbound game stories are cool.  It is so different to all the other games.

Depth - 10

It has a lot of features in the game.  For instance, you can deposit or withdraw money in this game.  You never see this in any other games but the Mother franchise and the Earthbound franchise.  Another is the powers that Ness has.  So many powers that it is pretty good for a young boy.  A third one would be the enemies.  They are so random.  In the beginning you verse a baby doll.  You never see that happen in any other game.  You will be surprised of what the other enemies would be (not saying more cause I don't want to burst the bubble).  There are many more things that are good in this game.

Difficulty - 7

I think the game is quite difficult.  On my Earthbound review, I said that the beginning would be difficult, but on this game, the difficulty is randomized.  Some parts of the game will be easy and some will be hard.

Wrap Things Up...

This game is good and fun to play, but I would recommend this game. I would not get it here, it is a good game though.  I would find this game somewhere else. Mother 1 + 2 is very hard to translate it into English, but it is worth finding it on some site. It is awesome and fun!!
