The_casuatly, I in-game traded my medicham for a haunter in pokemon pearl and then traded the haunter into pokemon soulsilver. The haunter gave me the Japanese pokedex text, will the Masuda method work?

music428luv : I think that baby Pokemon are... cute? Other then that, they don't have much purpose.

I think those are stupid. I never got them.

I prefer to play Pokemon games with others, when I can.

icrazyforpokemon : I used it a couple of times. Not to cheat or anything, just to walk through walls and stuff.

"You need the GameStop Event where you download Celibi LV50. You'll need 2 DS Systems for this to work. Lets say you downloaded it to your Pokemon Diamond Version. Like usual with a Mystery Gift, get Celibi from the Poke-Mart and place it into the PC. If you Downloaded the Legendary Dogs from the previous event put them into your Diamond Party since we only need Celibi. Save then turn off the game.

In a different DS start up Pokemon Black / White. Go to Castelia City. (The city right after the long bridge where the 3rd Gym Leader is.) Okay from there go up any street till you get to the fountain. Then go up once again to the next area. Go into the building on the left. Up the elevator and talk to the scientist. He talks about the TRANSFER MACHINE. He asked for 4 words, (2 at a time). The 1st Set is "EVERYONE" "HAPPY". The Second Set is "SIMPLE" "CONNECTION". He says that he has added it to the menu screen. So go out of the building and into the Poke-Center. You will need 2 OPEN PARTY SLOTS and ANY TYPE OF POKEBALL. Save and Turn off the system.

OKAY. Turn on both DS Systems with P. Black / White, and whatever other game you have the Event Celibi in, In my example I used P. Diamond. In Black / White go to the menu and dont start the game. Go all the way down to the new "option" called RELOCATOR" and follow the Instructions. You should only download 1 Pokemon which should be Celibi for the Zorua Event. Once that happens it will tell you to turn off the system with Diamond or whatever in it.

Now Start Black / White. Go to the PC and pickup Celibi. Place it 1st in your party. Remember to have an Open slot since Zorua willingly joins your party at LV10 and evolves at LV30. Go out side the Pokecenter and enter the alley immediately to your right. It should be the crowded alley. Enter the building on the right and talk to the girl. Then talk to the boy. Watch the event unfold and everything after that is self-explanatory . Enjoy your new Zorua (if you were able to download the event in time.)"

Do you plan to use Global Link from time to time?
Or the Dream World?

I've used it a couple times... it's interesting, but nothing special.

To fill you in, the Masuda method is used to increase th chance of hatching a shiny. f two Pokemon from games of different languages breed, the offspring is 6x(4x in Generation IV) to produce a shiny.

So yes the method would work for the situation described above.

Whew... went on hiatus on this thread for a while. Time to catch up.

tj4bigred : I might possibly use them. I've never really been a shiny hunter, as my luck is pretty much run dry when I do (usually they're my opponents Pokemon ). Might be an interesting thing to pursue, I dunno.

music428luv :
Shuckle- Definitely. I used Shuckle on my first run-through of Pokemon Silver against the Elite 4; he came in handy a lot.

Dunsparce- Meh.

Stanler- Never really pursued him. I've had a friend who used him once for very strong physical moves, and he could take down a lot of Pokemon in 2 or 3 hits. So, he's potentially powerful.

Miltank- This one's another great one. Whitney was pretty hard to beat with her Miltank; imagine how powerful it'd be if it got into the hands of a better trainer.

vizwiz123 : Snorlax. Lot's of people just think of him as a tank; when really when he's used correctly he can take down the entire Elite 4.

Harden.

crazycatpup : Honestly, Stunfisk is hard to defeat, as he is a Ground/Electric type Pokemon. Your best chances of defeating him is to use another Ground type, as Stunfisk's Electric moves will have no affect.

tj4bigred : Hmm... I think a Steel/Psychic combination is my favorite. I believe Metagross has a type combo like that, and that's why I like him so much.

Vincent Swiftstrike : If you're looking to get Effort Value bonuses for each stat, battle several different Pokemon of different stats. Don't use Rare Candies, as they will not give you any EV. Furthermore, a guide that gives you tips would help. Avoid using berries, as they lower your EV totals.

vizwiz123 : Lt. Surge.

Metapod, unless he knows Tackle.

Even though Pincir, Scyther, and Heracross are bug types (or part bug), would you recommend them due to their strength?

For Pokémon Emerald, is there a good place for me to grind at, because my Pokémon are pretty under leveled.

hackerman : Yeah, they're probably one of my favorite types.

music428luv : Yes, I would. They all are pretty awesome.

It really depends on what levels your Pokemon are. There are a couple of really long routes with optional trainer battles; if you skipped them before now might be a good time to go back and battle them.

vizwiz123 : Hm,

1: Dragonite
2: Scizor
3: Metagross
4: They all suck
5: Ditto

Probably Dragon or Steel.

Snowdeath : They're both equally crappy. I don't really like Gen V Pokemon.
