I am not too great at math. It takes me a bit of extra time and studying to grasp a concept, and get it right. I used to say I love math, then I used to say it was my fav. subject, but now I like it as much as I do science, or computer/software application classes... prob even as much as (lets say if I took) a web development class. but I guess yes, I do like math, its extremely useful, and helps with developing our reasoning and logical thinking

Math is a good asset to have, it is certainly useful and has many applications even outside of school. But once you get into the really complicated stuff in about grade ten it seems like it is taught just for the sake math being a class. I don't dislike it, but sometimes it was frustrating for me to study. In grade eleven I basically gave up on math because I knew it would not be a requirement for me to become an artist- So what's the use?

Also, I cannot do mental math at all. It's like my brain is wired totally wrong for it. The way I vizualize things is based strongly on images and I can't seem to focus on numbers or carrying out a solution at all. I am forced to write it down.
