I got a few sequels that I personally hate:

- Batman and Robin. WHY. Just WHY. =| So many things wrong with this movie, one of them being that it's just too damn campy. It's like the old series with Adam West, except it's supposed to be taken seriously and it's ... not.

- Any Scary Movie after the first one. I like the first one. It's pretty funny. After that, they just need to stop. The jokes just got really stupid.

- Any Jaws movie after the first one. The original Jaws is one of my favorite movies of all time. After that? NO. The storylines are so ... ugh.

- Jurassic Park III. Bad storyline, bad characters. I think it's partly because there was no book to base it off of like the first two.

- Pretty much any Disney sequel: the Little Mermaid II, Cinderella II and III, the Jungle Book II, etc. The only one I kinda liked was the Lion King II, and even that one failed compared to the original. =/

That's about all I can think of right now.

For me it has to be The Matrix Reloaded. After I first saw the first film I thought, "Wow that was awesome, and any sequel would truly be amazing", but on seeing the second I thought "Who the hell made this and did they even see the ending to the first film?" Its because where the second started compared to the first and its general irrelevantness that I hate it.

Btw I think Revolutions was even worse, but as a sequel I'd significantly lowered my expectation by the time that came out, so "as a sequel" 2 was worst.

There have been some pretty bad sequels mentioned here but I really believe that there is a major movie (actually two) that comes to mind.  Starship Troopers was a perfectly corny movie that I could really get into and laugh at in the same breath.  The second and third movies in the series though were some of the worst I have ever seen in my life.  I was utterly disappointed at the lack of my favorite characters from the first.

A lot of ones I agree with. Especially Tabbikatt's list (but not EVERY Disney sequel. Some had some good ones). For my first post here, I will say Austin Powers: Gold Member. They were really just milking that for all they could get. Pathetic.

Ooh. I got one, and I am surprised that nobody has brought this one up yet. How about pretty much all 12 Land Before Time Sequels? Why, oh why did they have to kill a great movie, dig it up, rob the bones of it's remains, bury it again, and pee on the tombstone? Out of 13 movies and a cartoon series, only the first one was the one and only good one out of all of them.

The second one at least had a few decent action sequences. The third one is just bad. Most of it took place in the "real world" and that is definitely the least interesting part of the movies. We want to see people jumping enormous distances and doing unbelievable things, not a bunch of dirty hippies in loincloths doing the macarena.

The "RoboCop" sequels come to mind. I was able to stomach the second one. I thought the little kid as a villain was actually pretty cool, they should have run with that instead of whatever it was that they did. I admit I only got through about half an hour of "RoboCop 3."

"Alien 3" and "Alien: Resurrection" are the last ones I'll mention. Here's a Sci-Fi series that had the potential to be the greatest of all time but instead had to be tainted by "Alien 3" which is a complete snore fest and "Alien: Resurrection" which comes off as almost a parody of the entire series. The movies are just plain bad. I still maintain that "Alien" and "Aliens" are the best Sci-Fi movies ever.

I would have to say the sequels to Final Destination 2 was horrible
and so was the next one . The sequel to Matrix Reloaded was a " What 
the hell !? " to me because it had so many machine fighting scene's
in it.

I think the worst I've seen is The Nightmare On Elm Street. The first two are good & so is Freddy Vs Jason, the third one is okay and the rest of them are so boring and become less like a horror film. Especially Wes Cravens New Nightmare. Fudging terrible
