I am sorry to be posting this thread as I wish everyone at Vizzed well and would hate to think that anyone is suffering pain from an operation that was meant to correct one thing but caused a whole heap of other problems.

I am aware that many of you at Vizzed have not, luckily, undergone any major operations, but there are many things you should be aware of and may need to ask before hand that experience from those, unfortunate souls such as ourselves, who have undergone treatment and associated complications can help you with so you are better informed if you ever have to have a procedure.

I had an operation on a broken leg many years ago and wound site from the bone (won't say more) took ages to heal. There were better techniques the doctor could have used but due to cost and experience, he decided to to it the traditional way and the result was it took much longer to heal.

If I had known I would have insisted that the other procedure was carried out, but then broken legs tend to be an emergency thing, but how was I to know that one doctor would do it differently to another?

When I was in the Marines, we had a field op that went four days. They only choppered in chow for two days, so we tried to string it out as long as possible. Unfortunately, we were doing some terrain-intense movement and we needed calories. We almost ended up hunting animals for food but we fought through the weakness and hunger....

Wait, medical operation? No, sorry. I never had anything that went wrong. I had a wisdom tooth pulled that ended up a dry socket. That hurt a lot and took two weeks to heal. But it didn't go wrong, exactly. I just had some pain.
