Got a Fender Stratocaster Squier with a case and strap for $50.

I taught myself how to play too. I don't know what you'd prefer, but if you work hard enough, you'll be pretty good at guitar without lessons or anything like that. You just gotta commit. Websites and books are nice too.

This might be a stupid question, but do you have an amp? If so and if there's a distortion channel, then that's great haha. Right now I'm trying to get more technical about my playing so I'm working on scales and soloing and all that jazz. I'm thinking about getting a job so I can afford a better guitar and some gear.
