Pokémon is getting out of hand now. I don't have a DS, but I'm not sure if I would buy the game if I did. It's the same thing every few years.

As soon as the hype from the first pair of games of the Generation dies down, they release a third that has some extra features. When that hype wears out, they re-release two games from two Pokémon Generations ago. When the hype from the re-released games is gone, they make two new games and the process goes on. They will do this forever.

They also seem to have run out of ideas for Pokémon. The most obvious example is Beautifly. It is a rather ugly ripoff of Butterfree.

BNuge : I wouldn't quite say they are out of ideas yet. They ARE running out, but not quite yet. If you look up some of the new Pokemon, a fair amount of them are actually pretty creative. I agree that the hype greed tactics are pretty cheap, but at least the games are usually worth the discount price a few months after release.

I might get White, but since they always make a third one, I might just wait for that one instead.

I bought both White + Black. I liked Zekrom better, though... Reshiram looked like some random legendary fox with wings.

Snowdeath : It hasn't been announced for sure, but I think Nintendo will, considering that they've done it with all 4 other pairs of pokemon games they've made.

I bought pokemon black, and so far it is definitely living up to my expectations. They are not running out of ideas, and have created a lot more cool looking pokemon. I can't wait to catch Reshiram, the move it learns at level 100 looks incredible.
