For me I dont see gothic the way society might view it. I see it as there are two types of gothic for me. Those who study the gothic arts I affectionately call goths!

Those who like to dress in black and are for the most part mellow, accepting, and sensative people. (In some of my experiences) And I myself would like to wear black more often then I do, and I too could be considered gothic because of my love of the dark, horrorific, and sad yet poetic parts of life.

My favorite poet is Edgar Allan Poe! Most people steriotype and say that people who like him are gothic and I find that to be just stupid. Its true some goths may like E.A.P. but not all of them! And some normal people like him too.
