I kinda always wonder about that as well. Oh well when they are deaf it will be they're fault I guess.
I just listen to most types of music, except for rap/ hip hop and Heavy Metal, otherwise I listen to most everything, but I don't think I've listened to much tehno at all. I do listen to the best rap song ever though, "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air theme" lol.

Right now I been getting into some J-pop. But I still gotta love Bach etc. they provide some great music.

only if u have crap speakers or set the audios wrong. At my houe i have my two stereo speakers hooked up to my computer... basically my stereo serves as a gian AMP to my computer. But in our lounge room, we (me and my housemate) have a 5.1 stereo system. And u play some static X off that at full volume... Literally, EVERYTHING jumps at the base its sweet!

There's a reason turning your bass up all the way is not always a good thing; besides it being able to damage your ears.
