this is very true. I was just having a discussion the other day and the time-space around a black hole is warped and distorted. Therefore many weird effects can be seen by the human eye.  I think you would get stretched apart and elongate like a strand of hair. Then when you were just a long strand of atom you would get pulled apart atom by atom. This would happen very quick by an outside observer. And I theorize it would seem like several years to you just getting stretched out. Then once your atoms start getting pulled apart and go through the event horizon. I believe this could take an eternity to fully finish and your mind would by the time it was done be completely turned into mush or would be extremely altered and you would not be able to communicate with it. That is ONLY if your concisenessmind and body survive to see it all happen. Ha aha ha

Did You know that butterfly's taste buds lie on the feet?
Speed of light in vacuum is exactly 299792458 m/s(or 3X10^8 m/s)
Light-year is 9263631921068700 m(9.3X10^15 m) and it is the distance travelled by light in one year.
Sirius is the brightest star in the sky after the Sun with a distance of 8.6 light-years(so this means that the light reaching is from 8.6 years ago).

In space, anyone COULD hear you scream, they're just not listening close enough. You see, space is not actually a complete vacuum, we just call it that because compared to what we're used to, space is very empty. But there are in fact gas particles all around space--this is why comets have tails! As we know, sound is a longitudinal wave, and when something happens (Such as a tree falling in the woods), that action moves the particles of air around it, compressing them and making them vibrate, which makes the particles near those move and vibrate in a similar way (Which is to say, if a tree falls in the woods, it does make a sound, but nobody hears it). Well the same happens in space, however, the particles are much farther apart, and would have to be moved much faster and farther, and you would need a much larger and more sensitive ear to hear it.

But to say that sound does not travel in space would actually be incorrect.

Apparently asteroids sometimes have an aquatic core. That's what I've been taught, anyway.

Large space rocks can be called minor plants or planetoids and comets follow a regular orbit around the sun, they journey on that trail and it might take about 200 years to complete.
