Ike is my least favorite. I can't stand big slow characters that just swing wildly hoping to connect. I really liked Roy in Melee, but Marth is my favorite. The key is to hit the opponent with the tip of your sword to inflict the most damage.

I say Marth since he is deadly to a slow character and is really good for team battles since he can attack at high speeds which makes dangerous when he is with a teammate.
