I gave myself a really nasty paper cut this morning and this evening I banged my bonce, but long ago I fell asleep in a door way and someone walked across my arm and broke it! OUCH!!!!!

The other day I leaned too far back on a chair and I hit my arm on a desk. Not only did it hurt but it was also embarrassing.

Totts : A few weeks ago I jammed my toenail into a hard object and screamed so loud, you would think I was being brutally murdered. It hurt so much...

I hurt myself about an hour ago lol. I don't even know what happened. I was watching a video and I think I got up funny and banged my lower leg against the chair. I followed that with rolling on the floor laughing in pain (does anyone else laugh when they're in pain or is it just me?)

The day before yesterday when I slipped on some ice and fell on my rear. I think I still have a bruise. It was not fun.

I actually cut myself shaving this morning because I was in a rush to get ready. It hurt too. Took a little while to get it to stop bleeding. That's why I get for not taking the time to change the blade!

Actually this morning I woke up a bit groggy with my mother telling me to take out the garbage. I ran into wall, tables, chairs, stepped on many things that hurt my bare feet. I think I hurt myself alot usually not on purpose...

I thought this had something to do with low self-esteem (emo apparently is a misused word for this ) so I was like "accidental...or purposely?".

I cannot remember the last time this happened, but I remember that one time I was standing up and I hit on a shelf above the TV in my room.

Man don't you hate it when you hit your toe on something when you are walking? Ow

I just did that coming out of the bathroom. It's even worse when you do it in the winter time.

Didowe : Emo in its original context was a sub-genre of hardcore punk music from the 1980s. It was characterized for not its sound so much, but rather its lyrics (which were very emo[tional]). Actually, one of my favourite bands, Fugazi, was a super group of one of the best hardcore punk groups (Minor Threat) and Rites of Spring (one of the first emo groups). Listen to a Rites of Spring song, I guarantee you that it won't sound like music made by the people who wear the black clothing, makeup, with masochistic tendencies, etc. Now the word emo has been used as an umbrella term for people who actually partake in those activities that I just mentioned and make (in my opinion) lame music.

I laugh when I get beat up because I usually hurt myself in the silliest ways and/or because people find humour out of pain. I don't see the connection between having low self-esteem and/or being emo though. I always thought of it as being able to take a little pain as a joke. I'm not purposely hurting myself (and I don't use knives) so I don't see any emo connection either.

If people call you emo for things like that, they don't know what they're talking about. Just ignore them, be the better person, don't sink to their level, etc. Also, be more careful, TVs can be deadly.

Also, I thought emo means that you hate your life, think you are an idiot who don't deserves to be in this world and hurt self to feel better ?

Low self-esteem is similar to that, but not exactly, it means that you think you can't do it and is someone who gives up easily.

But most people with really low self-esteem also hate their life and think they are an idiot...

P.S: The reason I said Emo is misused was because of the reason you said it, it is suppose to be used to describe music .

NotJon (for the laughing part): Apparently America thinks that is the main part of humor... (America's Funniest Videos always contain someone getting hurt... and most comedies too).

The last time I ever got hurt was maybe an hour ago... I banged my elbow on a sharp object and felt a surge go through my arm. Pah, funny bone... that wasn't funny at all!

I hurt my self a few hours ago. I was walking, and tripped on one of my niece's toys, and hit the deck. Hard.
