argh this is so anoying, i got a problem i want to like a chick, no one in particular yet, but i also dont want to, i want a relationship, but i just want a friendship. is there something wrong with me wanting both just friends and also more then friends? i dont like it

You can't be on the fence about every girl otherwise you won't ever make a move to try to date them.

Well maybe you should go on a get to know you date? I mean you could feel that spark afte the first date.

you do realise im only 17 and still n highschool, the dating scene is a littl different, u dont go out on dates. untill you leave highschool around here

That's not how it works here, but anyways, I can't really say that does make sense. You just have to bite the bullet and do it or don't.

what's wrong with waiting? sure, you may want something right now, but if you don't have the means or the desire to get it then why are you so worried?

i never said i didn't waiting, its the split inside me about waiting, and not waiting at the same time which is anoying me, i wouldn't mind waiting if i didn't have this stupid want to love someone

About your first post, Hopstar, I think it's perfectly normal to want both, and I actually think that's the healthiest way to go. As my girlfriend says, "Happiness is being married to your best friend."

(I guess I can quit calling her Padme now and say her real first name, since there are only a zillion of them in Houston anyway.) Katie and I are best friends. That makes it very convenient for us to be in love as well. And our friendship has been through so much that we know a relationship won't wreck it. Nothing a relationship can throw at us will change the fact that she is my best friend. I can tell her anything (and I've lost count of the things she knows about me, which even my best guy friends have no clue about...including weird stuff you'd otherwise only tell to the same sex). So look to the girls that have a shot at being your best friend, in my opinion.

all your advise is new. the best friend thing is kinda right, now just gotta find that best friend lol, i had a youth leader talk to me once and he said before he got married he asked his did who he should marry, and he replied with "who's the one friend you can't live with out" which i recon would work pretty well

The best friend thing is a hard road though if you become best friends with them first.

It CAN be, because there WILL be the problem of, she wonders whether having you as her boyfriend (or more) will compromise the friendship. Well of course not, if the relationship works out. But if the relationship DOESN'T work out, it could damage the friendship...something most girls dread. However, if you're *SUPER* close, there comes a point when you're so close that she'll know your friendship can survive anything...and it can likely survive a relationship too. (Example, again = me and Katie)

i talked to the girl in question today while we worked, just casual, i think im gona work on her friendship i little while longer first, i complomented her and she seemed rather pleased by it so yeah hopefully things will keep goin well for me. but i aint expectin anything
