Which of these book/movie franchises is your favorite?. I'm mostly a fan of Harry Potter because it is a very interesting series.

I have enjoyed both series... but I think the harry potter books and movies are better.

And I doubt you're going to find anyone here that is going to pick twilight over harry potter... but you never know

Harry Potter definitely. I can't stand Twilight.

I wasn't a big fan of the movies from either eries, but both of them had good books and they were both written very well. I prefer the Harry Potter series to Twilight, mainly because Harry Potter is like the awesomer, manlier version of twilight.

I like Harry Potter than I like Twilight. Harry Potter was meant for all audiences. I believe Twilight was made for the female variety.

Oh god *shudders to think that these two series were even put on the same list* Harry Potter is on a whole other scale. Twilight was written at a third grade level and its main character is a mary sou. Harry Potter is interesting and was written at a level that all audiences (not just women, fan girls, and children) can enjoy. Harry Potter takes the cake definitely.

Harry Potter, definitely. Twilight is a pretty good series but it's just for female audiences. As to Harry Potter, it's AMAZING and for all audiences so definitely Harry Potter.

I actually joined the Smack a Twilighter Day event on Facebook a while ago. I had trouble finding a Twilighter that I knew well enough that there wouldn't be any hard feelings. I didn't want to smack a random person.

Needless to say, I like Harry Potter.

Personally I like Harry Potter better. NOW. There was a time that I liked Twilight better. Mostly because at the time I hadn't really read or watched Harry Potter. To be honest I found Twilight very good. But I liked the books ten million times more than the movies. the movies ruined the series for me. So yes. Like most of the people in this thread I like HP. But you also have to realize that this board is male dominated meaning you wont find many twilight fans anyway.

Hmm... I'd have to say Harry Potter. Perhaps it's just because I'm a guy, I dunno. But I find the fact that teenage girls (and their moms ) are fighting over which guy is hotter (Edward or Jacob) is revolting. Really. Neither of the movies are really good (I fall asleep in most Harry Potter movies), but if I'd have to pick my venom, it'd have to be Harry Potter.

Harry Potter for many reasons-

1: I basically grew alongside the character since it started in the late 90's and then ended in 2007 so I was almost the same age of the characters when I started the series.

2: It's one of the few 1000+ page books that I've read in less than a day.

3: They get darker and more mature as the books go on.

4: Harry Potter fans don't nearly annoy me as much as Twilight fans. Usually doesn't bother me and I pay no attention to a fan base but these ones particularly annoy me.

Twilight makes me want to vomit in my mouth.

The Harry Potter series have to be my favorite books.I personally don't like the Twilight Books.Plus I have read the Harry Potter books since they originally came out and are one of the few books I can read and read over and over again and still enjoy.

Harry Potter is the best book I ever read

ok for starters, Harry Potter over Twilight any day. The Harry Potter series was more in-depth and interesting with a very versatile story line including very researched information. a lot of time and effort went into the harry potter movies. if you don't agree, simply look at the facts. harry potter broke records with all of the movies with more still to come. Twilight made three movies and the end is close. i mean really? another vampire series? didn't Angel, Buffy, and Dracula kinda cover it? now their mixing vampires and werewolves? Come on... I'm so sick of the little twinkie love stories... and another thing... it was interesting what the author did with the rules of vampires and werewolves, how ever she took it way too far. In harry potter, even some of the names themselves had magic meanings. (like Minerva) anybody who picks twilight over harry potter should do some research. you'll see what I'm talking about
