http://www.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDHomePage.aspx

figure out what type of card you have and then use that page (near the top right.... support and drivers) to find the driver you need.

perfect, that's what I'm running... that'll make this really easy.

Okay, right click on your desktop and pick properties. That should pop up a window.... pick "settings" along the bar at the top.... from there you should see a picture of a monitor and underneath that it should list some info about your graphics card.... when you find that type it in here and I'll tell you if found the right info.

From there pick "Adapter" and tell me what is written under "Adapter Type"

[sigh].... okay, I'm guessing because you un-installed your drivers it's not showing up properly.... so, it's going to be even more annoying to find a way to figure this out

okay, try this:

Right click on "My Computer" and pick properties. In that pop-up window I want you to pick hardware and then device manager.

In the device manager there should be a section called display adapters.... is there anything listed in there? If it's not listed there then we're really in trouble.

okay, try this:

http://www.d-a-l.com/hardware-scanner/

I tested it myself and it doesn't have any viruses or anything. I had to use IE cause FF didn't work (didn't try chrome )

that -should- tell you what you have for a graphics card.

heh.... then you're screwed? I don't know....

at this point I'm drawing a blank as to how to help you. If the hardware isn't showing up properly via the ways I've already asked then I don't know what to do. Your best bet might be to simply download some drivers for a card that you think matches your laptop and hope for the best. They will at least be ati drivers and -should- help.

Actually, what is the model number of your laptop (if I can find that somehow....) try the bottom or something.

tonycassidy : Please make a thread to be helped faster.

And well while I am here.... Try and be more specific. PM me? Is your volume turned up? Do you have speakers? Is the RGR plugin completely installed? Are you using games through the RGR plugin?
