Seems as though their mostly run by Java....but very cool concept
Dont think bigbob has any experience with java, so those games are out of the question.

It's actually pretty easy to install on a website -- the readme file gives very clear instructions on how to do so. And you can install it on your desktop too, as a stand-alone emulator that you don't need to be connected to the Internet to play.

But what you're talking about is connecting the Java games to all the other functions of the site, correct? Is that what BigBob has no experience with? Well, gee, that's a shame...

Nonetheless, I suggest you guys go to everyvideogame.com and have some fun playing their games -- you don't actually have to own the ROMs in order to play them, and they have hundreds of games available. As I type this, I'm currently playing The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario Bros. 3. Whee!

Most of the games dont run full speed, and the sound skips a little too on some of the games, but that was just the games I tried out I guess.

They run perfectly fine on my computer.

What internet browser are you using?

I don't think the browser matters, actually. But if you must know, I'm using Internet Explorer. (Yeah, I know, I know, but I'm too lazy to switch to another browser. Bleh.)

Davideo, jes so you know Java was Bobs... first maybe second language he used.... Both of us did some light work on it. Im sure he can learn more. But it might come at a cost. Hell Javas easy to use.

I'm not gonna expect him to learn even more. He can do whatever he wants... eventually later this year I'll probably have money to pay him for certain favors.

MONEY? OH NO, he should do it for pride in his work. And for people to admire it.

I know its possible to do multiplayer flash games. There are alot of them. But I bet it wouldn't be easy. There has always been a crapload of Java games too. Most of them have a score system anyways. But that too might be hard to use in conjuction with your databases or whatever.

I think having a music function would be a good idea. But don't have it just on the videogame section. Put a Global one up on the toolbar at the top of the main page. Then that would open up a tiny window where you could select the midi you wanted to play. Then you could listen when you post and play games.

David could have like 11 midi's up there. And then you could put your personal requests on there for like 1000 vizz or somthing. (or your personal creations)

It doesn't sound very hard at all to implement. All you would need is a dropdown list where you could select which song you wanted.

It wouldn't be hard at all.

It could be called Vizzed music or somthing. It wouldn't be worth much at home where you have your own music to listen too. But at school or somthing. Or other peoples houses. Or it could be a change of pace.

I think its a good idea.

Hmm Vizzed Music..... that would be cool.. and in your profile it says what your listening to I like it

sounds good... shouldn't that be in ideas and suggestions or something.... who cares anyway. Zylo needs a heap of Viz for cool suggestions

Well this is where I come in. Bigbob, you could do all coding and set the coding for all the objects, what I would do is, I'd rip ALL the graphics, and I'd put all the levels together, that's half the work right there
I'd also rip the sounds and music and such, all you'd really be doing is setting the scores system and highscores system, and you'd be designing how everythign interacted and the movement of everything. I'd make all the sprites animated aswell, I'd pretty much do everything except the coding...and I could even do a little bit of coding, as long as it was easy stuff.

Think about it though

Ummm, I think its been done already, At least there are some Java clones, I don't know about flash. Personally I don't think it'd be worth it. For you guys it'd almost be like creating a game from the ground up.

I think it'd be cool to have Super Mario Bros. in the arcade, and it would be the very first clone of the game. I really dont see it taking a long time to create, it'd be pretty simple to rip all the graphics, sounds and music, and the game isn't very complexed.
