I'm using firefox and I'm playing sega. The only button that works is the ATL. I want the the arrows to work and a,s,d. How do I get the those controls to work?

Try clicking to some other window (like the main Firefox window) and then back on the game window. I had a similar problem when playing other games, and that worked for me.

I haven't played Sega games yet, but the GBA games allow you to configure the controls. For GBA, just right-click on the game screen then click "Joypad Configure." The Sega emulator may have a similar feature.
