When I was a kid I'd get so freaked out over alien trilogy for the Playstation, it wasn't even funny. My parents locked the game up and I never saw it again tell last year.
It's not close to scary, and it's a pretty terrible game to. :/

The first game that I can remember that actually scared me was Resident Evil 2 for the original Playstation. I never had any scary games on the NES or SNES; I still remember the first part of the game that scared me: you were in some sort of shop really early in the game and I think you are talking to the shop owner when the zombies burst through the glass at the front and come for you. I think the bad camera angles just added to the horrors because you couldn't always be sure if they were even coming for you or not.

When I was younger, my uncle had Ocarina of Time, and I liked to play it. When I got to the outside of the temple of time, the enemies and the scenery was super scary! Though that was not the first game that scared me. I forgot the name of the other game that I got scared of.

I'm not sure if "scared" would be the word, but I remember the first time having that spooky feeling during a game was when I was a little child and I popped in Castlevania for the NES for the very first time. The music and atmosphere gave you such a spooky feeling. There just wasn't anything like it out at the time. Fun memories playing that game in the dark with friends.

Well I'd have to say the first Resident Evil. The part where you are walking threw the hall in the mansion with all the windows.. and the BAM! a dog jumps threw at you. The rest of the game of thrilling, but that was the only part that really scared me.

I think thats why I have been addicted to survival horror now lol.

When that didn't work, I ran through a door. In previous RE's, running through a door effectively halts any attack by the bad guys. Apparently, the Nemesis forgot to read that memo, and burst through the wall like an undead Kool-Aid Man to kill me. It was scary one two levels; 1. he crashed through totally unexpectedly, and 2. I knew that from then on, there was no safe place to hide anymore.
