Schala doesn't seem the type to just fold at that point. I mean she did bring up Magus and look at him, he doesn't ever quit.

See people this is how we solve problems.*scattered applause* Some other members could take a look at how this happened. Anyways yeah we need more signatures we are still at 3.

Seeings how she used the last of her pendent's power to teleport Magus and Crono's two buddies out of the Ocean Palace and then collapsed on the ground, it would stand to reason that she would sit there whimpering. Not to mention that shortly afterward, the three Gurus and Janus showed up and she was powerless to help them. So put two and two together, and what do you get? Simply put, she didn't have the strength to put up any kind of fight and one of Lavo's Spawns had its way with her. She wasted all of her strength activating the Mammon Machine remember?

Oh, and by the way Vash, Ozzie had a hand in raising Janus as well.

That post proves that you are one of the worst types of obseesors. Grow up. By the way, I played the game when it first came out and I was 11 at the time.

Well, I saw a few things a little differently than you did, that's all. The gurus/Janus thing happened before Crono's friends were teleported out, so she just didn't have a "chance" to help them. As for her collapse after teleporting them out, I saw that as more of an emotional breakdown than a collapse from exhaustion. And she and the pendant are not the same. She said "The last of my pendant's power will send you to safety." And when Marle gains the pendant 13,000 years later, expectedly, it's powerless. Doesn't mean she is, just that the pendant is. My argument with the other guy was that given what I just stated combined with the fact that we know Schala was far more powerful than Zeal herself, it's not entirely out of the realm of possibility for Schala to break, emotionally, and start letting her anger out on Lavos. After all, she blames him for the loss of her mother, and now she knows she's as good as dead, so let's beat the crap out of him as much as we can, eh?

On top of that, IF what I just said actually would have happened, it would also explain why Lavos is MUCH weaker when you fight him later. (I think Schala is a lot more powerful than anyone gives her credit for.) Ever noticed? In 12000 BC, his stats are outrageous, and all the "regular" times when you're supposed to fight him, he's considerably weaker. This really could have been the result of them kicking the crap out of each other for some time.

No, Janus and the Gurus arrived afterward. When Crono and crew showed up, she was still on her feet. When you see it happen from Janus's perspective when he and the Gurus arrive, she is on the ground. And even though she was refering to her pendent when she teleported Magus and Crono's buddies out, she collapsed several times while Crono and crew were heading down. Proving that the power flowing threw the Mammon Machine was taking a toll on Schala. Hell, Magus was even getting worried about her after the first few times. Another thing I would like to point out is that Janus harnessed far more power then even Queen Zeal or Schala. If you talk to the NPC outside Schala's room, he mentions that he senses a strong force in Janus surpassing that a Schala dispite the fact that Janus had no signs of any magical ability at all. I also believe that neither Schala or Queen Zeal noticed because if they did, they would've reconized him immediately when he came back as the Prophet.

I would like to give you credit on the Lavos fight at the Ocean Palace though. I've noticed that as well. However, after you kill off his first form, his second and third forms are still as weak as before. But yeah, Lavo's "Destrction Rains from the Heavens" Technique is a good deal stronger. I think he is weakened because Magus gave him a good hit with his scythe before knocking Magus back and draining some of his power.

Basically, just play through the game again from when you first enter Zeal to the point Zeal falls and take notice of every detail. You'll piece it all together when you do.

Hmmm... it seems you got a good foundation set up here, Jake-A-Roonie. Not bad. I can't really tell in what form you plan to present this to SE though. On one thread I got the impression it was an online petition (which by the way, wouldn't work), on another I thought you were sort of mixing both a hard and soft versions of the petition. I'm a tad confused, as you can likely tell.

Now then, what I recommend is a little more... orderliness. You need to inform us how you intend to send this thing to SE a little more clearly. As was mentioned in the CTRP forums, our best method is to send this to the SE headquarters in Japan, as the American headquarters really doesn't have the power to do much. Also, a PHYSICAL petition has far more impact than a virtual one (you can see the differing signatures.)

Of course, before I further criticize, It'd probably be a good plan to see what it is you really intend to do. After all, perhaps you have already taken these ideas in to account (you were on the CTRP forums, afterall) I'd like to help out with this. I think you guys need a little further planning, actually, but that is just my opinion.

I suggest we move discussion directly relating to the petition to a different section of the forum designed to focus on the petition. As the current update topic is closed, perhaps a new one should be opened. We can then post the new copy of the petition and continue the conversation from the CT:RP forums.

I agree with Prop that we should move the discussion somewhere else. No offense, but places like Chrono Trigger Remake Project are more well-known and visible than Vizzed is in the Chrono Trigger online community, and we would attract more attention to the petition that way. The only places that would be even more helpful would be the GameFAQs Chrono Trigger Message Board, and the Chrono Compendium -- they always get a lot of traffic, even more than CTRP does. Any of these places would probably get us a massive amount of signatures from eager, rabid fans.

But what would be even better would be for the petition to have its own separate site dedicated exclusively to it and nothing else. Perhaps something like www.ctremakepetition.com or something.

Either way, I'm not sure if the petition would get enough attention here, whereas serious thought is already being put into it over at CTRP. Propagator has posted revised versions of the petition there (in the Bad News thread) and we're working on ideas about how to most effectively send our message to Square/Enix of Japan.

Don't underestimate us. We are very determined people.

That is true Stoney. This place, I never heard of. While it seems you have a good basis for a petition started here; there are many other places that are more well-known. Furthermore, a website completely dedicated to this petition would be of far greater effect than merely a thread on some forum, no offense. I suggest we rethink a few aspects of this petition because it needs:

- Better advertising
- A website of its own
- Better overall organization.

I think we need to get a more clear-cut method of sending the petitions IN as well. For one, if we are to do this, we need to know the address of eachother in order to mail (the completed petitions) to you. Also, we need to do this in a way so that noone with malicious intent can get your address. There is no exception to the fact we need a tangible petition, as all previous online petitions with this intent (and there were ALOT of them), failed. As such, I believe it is quite obvious at this point that only a tangible petition would have any effect. Of course, this would then involve mailing... which would be a mess; which of course, means we should get an organized method of doing all this before continuing. Make any sense?

You two misunderstand me. I simply meant that a new topic in this forum should be started in which we could discuss the organization of the petition and things of that nature. We are not at the stage yet at which publicity should be our main concern. We do not yet need to relocate for that reason. For now we just need a place where we can plan it out. Here will do.

Right... Davideo7 -- the owner -- has it set so that only staff members (like me) can make new threads on this area. Anyway, I'll get one going for ya. And I agree with Prop here... While Apoc may be right about needing better advertising and so on and so on, until we get our plan laid out, that won't help much yet.

As for Compendium, its forumers aren't really all that into it. I tried to bring it up exaxctly the same way I brought it up at CTRP, and all it got was criticism...from probably everyone except ZeaLitY. The big Z supports it though. All I have to do is ask him, and he'll run a news story on it.

And about my intentions: Yes, my intention is to use a combination of electronic petition in conjunction with a real one. The electronic part would probably be just for the purpose of emailing them a master list of the people who had signed the physical petitions. Although there will be a master list shipped with the physical ones, having it in digital form will enable it to be circulated inside the company a little more efficiently if needed. It can essentially communicate the same text as the petition, and additionally say "You will be receiving this petition from the following people:" and then list them all or something along those lines.

But yes, the main punch is in the physical petition.
