why does harvest moon on n64 load but yet it stays pitch black after it loads.i can play pokemon stadium on there with no problem but the harvest moon is the only game that stays like that=(

It's just your graphics card having the problem. Try updating it to the newest version for it and it should start to work. But the only problem would be the audio crashing in it =/

I've had that happen with GBA Pokemon games. Try reloading it.

If that doesn't work it could just be a problem with the game. Some of the N64 games have trouble on this site. For example, I've been told Super Mario 64 has issues.
