Now, I was going to say the Buster Blade from FF VII, but seeing the Master Sword transform the way it did in Skyward Sword makes me change my vote. Its blade is slender and amazingly shin,, has a beautiful, purple hilt, and generally kicks evils eyes out of their sockets.

Maybe it is because I am a fan of the series but I will say the master sword. It looks pretty awesome, and the back story in skyward sword was pretty cool. It is almost one of the staples in the series.
