The first Final Fantasy i ever played was FFVII

my sister borrowed it from a friend back when i was in primary school, she was about 11 at the time i would have been about 8.

I never use to let her play on it i was addicted to it LOL as soon as she had to give it back i saw it it the libary and rented it out then shortly after i brought it

If I recall the first Final Fantasy I played was Final Fantasy- Mystic Quest on the Snes.
Except at the time I didn't know it was labeled as a Final Fantasy game as it is called Mystic Quest Legend down here.
It's a fun game, I suppose it could be considered a "beginners RPG" but there is still a good plot and difficulty level, it isn't too easy or anything.
After that I probally played Final Fantasy 8 as my first mainstream Final Fantasy (very good game in my opinion), though this is partly because we only started getting the main games when the PlayStation came out (yes that's right, not even Final Fantasy III / VI was released on the Australian/PAL version Snes).

The first one I played was Final Fantasy VIII. I bought it from a friend of mine together with her Playstation, and it's my favourite to this day. I never really got into FFVII after that, I think the materia system and the lack of good graphics (compared to FFVIII, VII is pretty dull visually) made me a bit disappointed, after hearing so much good things about it.

The first Final Fantasy I ever played was Final Fantasy VII. I sucked at it the first time around, but it soon became addictive. The blocky graphics threw me off at first however when the battle begins it finally got very fun. The story was memorable and the gameplay was great which also got me interested in playing Final Fantasy VIII when it came out.

I guess the first I've PLAYED was the original Final Fantasy on NES, but I never finished.
Then, I played Final Fantasy VI, and finished it. So, I guess FFVI could be my first. It's also my favorite out of the ones I've played.

i remember reading about it in nintendo power magazine and wanting to try it out very badly.
i think the farthest i made it on that first attempt was helping the dwarves create the canal, but didn't have the time or patience to get to the earth fiend (lich i think it was).
it wasn't until many years later that i went back and beat the game all the way through.
that game was extremely brutal to it's players.

I was able to find an actual copy of the game not two years ago, but it was going for over 100$. Way to expensive for me... so I just stuck to my Roms and GBA copy.

In my opinion, the GBA copy is actually superior to the SNES, simply because of the Opera Scene. It's in sync! Yay!

Final Fantasy Legend 2 for the game boy. Man, I must have beaten that game 6 or 7 times. I played it so much that the cartridge is busted and doesn't let me get past a certain part I also got Final Fantasy Adventure for Game boy, and I beat the poop outta that several times. When PS2 came out, I got my first real taste of Console Final Fantasy, with FF8. I had played FF7 for computer, but the game was broken so that you could never get out of bugenhagen's lab the first time you visit cosmo canyon. I think it was a factory defect, since a few of my friends who also had it for PC had the exact same problem.
