I've recently heard (Through rumours) that people are actually going to start making video game character fusions, in order to appeal more gamers (Mario fused with Sonic). Do you think that it's a good idea?
I say no. Video Game characters have appealed us already, sure it would be nice to do that but I say it's a waste of time. I'd just say that making a Super Smash Bros style video game character fusion game would be nice, but that's it. They should focus on making video games good again, before doing anything else  .I say no. I also say no to character fusion. It basically says both characters have run their length and its time to retire them because there is nothing left to do with them. Mortal Kombat vs DC is an example, just rather pointless story there. What are the chances of MK chars meeting batman and all the DC freaks? MK series died a long time ago. So they decided to put a character fusion spin on it in order to sell good. It's not just rumors its all around us. Mario & Sonic at the olympic games? Really??? Lets just put mario and sonic in all games then they might sell like hot cakes Nintendo use to be cool but they seem to be sinking to a new low with stuff like this:

I believe that Hoochman is right. It does depends on what video gaming characters are being fused.
I like Dragon Ball Z, and there fusions. How one powerful Saiyan fuses with another Saiyan to create to most powerful person ever. 
I think Pokemon should be fused with other pokemons. A Charizard with a Blastoise fused, would create a powerful and deadly pokemon ever. Just imagine, a huge turtle with wings. It would breathe out fire, and he can blast out water with his pumps.
I don't know about fusing Mario and Sonic together, but I think that they should put them together in a RPG game. It would be totally cool to play as Link, trying to defeat Bowser, then Sonic trying to defeat Ganandorf in a rpg environment, where you can lvl. up the characters and just fighting together.

I say that is depend on the character too, especially like in Brawl with Fox and Falco there would be like almost no difference with them. That and some might be decent but some might not turn out as good as you think.

Definitely not. Megaman fused with Zero, then there were tons of fusions in the network games... None of them were really all that good.

Most of the game character "fusions" you have mentioned have not gone well. Some fans see it as dirtying their favorite character, while others( like myself) see it as a pointless waste of time and a way to cash in on already popular franchises. -------------------- |

It depends.... there are good fusions and bad fusions out there. Most of the real good ones where fighting games, in my opinion. Oh and I dont really think MK is dead.... just needs something big to happen!
