Pokabu. I love fire. The water on looks too much like piplup, and the grass one's final evolution probably sucks. Plus pokabu is the first fire starter since cyndaquil to stand on four legs instead of two.

No love for Mijumaru. When I get the game (which will probably not be for months after the American release), I will pick the little Panda-Otter thing. I choose to see it as a panda (I love pandas) and otter hybrid/fusion. The fire pig looks like it'll be a disappointment, and the lizard looks too vain. Mijumaru looks like a genuinely nice Poke and yeah.

I downloaded the roms yesterday and picked Pokabu in white and Tsutaja in Black, so i guess I'm gonna have to pick Mijumaru for the main game because I would be missing out on the full pokemon experience if I didn't.

Probably grass for me as well, because it is the only one that looks promising right now. Unless the pig one turns into some sort of huge firey boar with flames shooting out of its tusks at some point...

Problem is I never really use grass type, save for my beloved bulbasaur from the first game (Its name was Bulby). None of the other grass types appealed to me after Bulby. G/S I would pick either Totodile or Cyndaquil, but after that I lost interest in the other water Pokemon as well. I hated mudkip a lot. Then came D/P and I didn't like the fire monkey, he was too weak, but I really did not like the other two either. Eventually I said "forget it" and transferred a Charmander from Firered and traded it to my Platinum game and I use that for my fire Pokemon, then I just shove whatever starter I have in the box and go catch better Pokemon to fight beside Charmander. If these new starters don't pan out I may have to do that here as well.
