I think lil wayne is the greatest rapper out there thats my opion though who do you like and think is the best

Eminem songs are the best. Some may not like him or consider him a real rapper, but you've got to admit, he can rhyme, and he has got some dope beats from Dre.

2pac is awesome. 50 Cent is kind of good and Ludacris too. I am not a big rapper fan, but these are just I had heard of.

I'm not much on rapping, but I think that Eminem is good. Some may consider him not a rapper, but all of his songs have a nice 'beat', which I think makes up for that. Furthermore, he was the one who brought me to music.

Lil wayne is good but defineltey not the greatest. dont get me wrong he says s*** that will have you like "whoa did he just say that" like when he said:

"I'm probably in the sky, flying with the fishes,
Or maybe in the ocean, swimming with the pigeons,
See my world is different, like dwayne wayne,
and if you want trouble, b**** i want the same thang"

But the he completely loses all of my respect when he started with the whole "lollipop" and young money bulls***.


So to me the best rapper ever was Tupac, he can paint pictures with his words alone. And his songs arent all about the same things over and over again.

Not into rap but if I had to choose I would say DMX is the best rapper he is no poser like these other wannabes.

Sorry, but I think that Lil Wayne isn't a great rapper. Eminem is the second best for me and Tupac is the greatest rapper of all time(Sorry Biggie =/)

I don't think he is the best because, some of the best rappers where in the 90's like Ice Cube, Biggie, Tupac, and many more from that era. I say this because most rap from today isn't as realistic and to me it is too sexual. In the 90's rappers rapped about real stuff at time. But Lil Wayne isn't all that bad.

he may be on of the "new" rapper that all the kids listen to because they think he's cool doesn't mean he's good in anyway.

I prefer Eminem everytime compared to Lil' Wayne. Eminem doesn't always talk about sex, drugs, and money. And of course there are people like Tupac. So he is just someone who made it to fame when he isn't a good rapper

I strongly disagree. Lil Wayne just makes me sad, Eminem's voice is irritating to me, and yeah. Most rappers since the early 2000s (even since the late 90s) have been pretty bad. My favourite rapper has got to be Pharoahe Monch. "Bring It On" has got to be one of the best raps that I have ever heard. Chuck D, GZA, The D.O.C., round out the rest of my top four.

There's no creativity anymore, there's no culture anymore. Back in the late 70s and 80s, Rap was an extension of R&B (specifically funk). Dub music laid the foundation for remixes, instrumentation, and the idea that a producer in the studio could provide music. Gil-Scott Heron was a pioneer of with his style of angry and strong spoken words over often simple drum beats and such.

Nowadays, the connection is not there anymore. Since its commodification, Rap has not been the same. Instead of being the voice of black community, the streets, etc. it's just another business. It's the same song over and over. Loud beats, jibberish lyrics, etc. The music has remained stagnant for much of the previous decade and things don't look too good coming into this decade. Lil Wayne is perfect example of this.

Eminem is not terrible like Lil Wayne. He adds his own thing to the genre I suppose. He's another example that it's not what race you are, it's how much talent you have for rapping. I still don't particularly like his music, but, I can respect where he's coming from.
