I believe we can post stories, no? So I will be posting my Fan Fiction for you guys to read since most of you don't have a Deviant Art.
---------------------------

Welcome to a world of excitement and adventure! You are about read to read a story of fun times and tough times! Welcome to the world...of Pokémon!

Chapter 1: Pokémon Friendly Friend!

"Alright, Cronus! Time to wake up! It's the day you've been waiting for!" Cronus' mother opens the curtains and turns off the beeping alarm. "Ugh, thanks Mom..." Cronus then stands up from his bed and heads downstairs.

"Mom, what time is it?" Cronus then picks up his silver head band from the coffee table, ties it on to his head, picks up his messenger bag and looks back towards his mother. "Hmm, it's ten after eight." She then walks towards Cronus and hands him a receipt. "This is what will get you the Poké Gear that will help you on your journey across Johto. So, the first Pokémart you encounter ought to be the one that will have your delivery of the most recent Poké Gear." She then looks into Cronus' messenger bag and rummages through eveything.

"Thanks, M- hey! I organized everything! You'll mess all my stuff up!"

"Stuff? What stuff? You have nothing in here but, town map and... your poke doll...really? Are you sure? You don't need this!" She then grabs his Pokédoll of a Piplup and throws it behind her. "Don't be a baby, Cronus! This time you'll get a REAL Pokémon!" Cronus then sighs in disappointment. "Fine, Mom. I better get going! Bye Mom! I promise I'll be okay. I'll be back in bit to show my new Pokémon!" Cronus then departs through the door and heads to Professor Elm's Lab. "Awesome, my first ever Pokémon. Atleast, since I've seen Pokémon contests on TV, I might have an idea on training one.

Cronus then slightly opens Professor Elm's Lab door and peeks in and enters. "Yo, Professor Elm!" Professor Elm then hits his head with the table lamp accidentally. "Ouch! Ya' shouldn't startle me like that!" said Professor Elm while rubbing his head. "So, what brings ya'? Are you finally ready to become a trainer?" Cronus eyes begin to glimmer. "You bet!" Professor Elm then looks over to a machine in which contains three Pokéballs in triangle formation. "Well, since you're the first visitor I've had in all day, you're in most luck! You get more of an opti-" Then out of the blue a boy rams in through the door. "Am I late?!" The trainer then runs over towards Prof. Elm and Cronus. "I came to get my starter Pokémon! Am I on time?" Professor Elm begins to have a surprised look and puts his hand behind his head.

"Heh, since nobody has really visited, and I don't have an organized schedule, technically, you can't be late." He then looks back at Cronus. "Well, since you're here guess you guys should both get acquainted." The boy looks at Cronus and offers his hand for a shake. "Hiya, I'm Taro Stone! Nice to meet you!" Cronus then gently smiles. "I'm Cronus Satō, great to meet ya' as well! Looks, as if we'll both become trainers today." Professor Elm, then claps his hands once. "Alright, looks like you're both now acquainted! Now let's get started! First, let me give you some common knowledge before I go any further. there are at this exact moment: four and ninety three Pokémon known to man. Yet, there still may be Pokémon that are undiscovered. Now then, to my left I have three rare Pokémon that are to start trainers off on their journeys in our Pokémon world. No need to argue who chooses first. Since, Cronus has waited the longest, he gets to choose first. Professor Elm then presses a button on his desk that lifts the glass cover over the machine that contains the three Pokéballs. "Go on. Choose a Pokémon."

Cronus then steps to the machine and picks up the the Pokéball on the left. "So, you would like to Choose Totodile, the Water Type Pokémon?" Cronus then wonders to himself. "Eh, Water isn't my style." He then puts the Pokéball back onto the socket. He then picks up the Pokéball that was originally in the middle. "So, Chikorita, the grass type would be to your liking?" Cronus then studies the Pokéball. "Hmm, Grass type huh? May I let it out?" Professor Elm then looks at the Taro and back at Cronus. "Sure, go ahead!" Cronus then smiles and lightly tosses the Pokéball. "Go, Chikorita!" Chikorita then growls and stares into Cronus' eyes. "I think my vote falls upon Chikorita, Prof. Elm." Professor Elm then presses another button on his desk and then the formation of the Pokéballs in the machine reset back. "Alright! Looks like she'll be new friendly friend!" Professor Elm then smiles and pats Taro on the back. "You've been awfully silent. It's your turn. go ahead, choose your Pokémon." Taro step towards the machine and simply takes the Pokéball to the opposite of the Pokéball in which contained Totodile. "I'll take this one. I'm fine with any Pokémon I choose." He then lightly tosses the Pokéball and looks at his newly obtained Pokémon. "So, you want Cyndaquil, the Fire Type Pokémon?" Taro then replies eagerly. "Definitely, Fire is my new Type!" Cronus, still looking at Chikorita, goes on his knees and pets the little Pokémon. "She looks cute. Are Chikorita always female?" he asks Prof. Elm. "Well, no. But, it's common for there to be a female Chikorita." Cronus then stands back up. "Okay, so now that we have our new Pokémon, what do we do?"

Well, lately, I've told recommended a new way of training Pokémon to trainers that I have given Pokémon to. It's pretty simple actually. Instead of having your Pokémon in a Pokéball, you leave it outside the Pokéball and train it that way. So what do you think? Want to try it?" Cronus then puts his Pokéball inside his messenger bag and looks back at Professor Elm. "Sure, this is new to me so it will be most exciting!" Taro then puts his Pokéball in his backpack and nods. "Me too, Cyndaquil might get strong that way!" Professor Elm then happily chuckles. "Perfect! Now that we are all set. You two can get started on your new adventure. Off you go, I've got tons of e-mails to reply to." He says with a disappointed look. "Wow, thanks Prof. Elm!" said Cronus while opening the door for Chikorita and Taro. "Yeah, thanks Professor!" Both Cronus and Taro walk out the lab and before they part ways Taro asks Cronus, "Hey, do you wanna maybe walk our way to Cherrygrove? Since well, we're kinda weak right now. Heh heh." Cronus then turns around towards Taro. "Sure but, I gotta talk to visit my Mom first." Taro nods. "Sure sure, I'll wait here." Cronus then goes towards his house and walks in. "Hey Mom! I got my Pokémon!" He then looks down at Chikorita. "Don't worry buddy, we'll get leaving soon, but why don't ya' meet my Mom?" Chikorita then smiles back at Cronus and growls. "Oh, hello honey! So where is your Pokémon? I can't seem to spot it. Cronus then points down at Chikorita. "She's pretty small, huh?" said Cronus' Mother. "Hey, don't say that to Chikorita! You just brought her self esteem down. "Chikorita then looks then lowers her head. "Oh I'm sorry, hun! Don't let your size get the best of you." Cronus then opens the door to leave. "Well, Mom, I have to go quick. I have a new friend waiting for me outside." Cronus' Mother then turns around towards him and yawns. "Well, tell them I said "Hi"!" Cronus then exits and walks back towards Taro, which is sitting by the lab's door playing with his Cyndaquil. "Alright, you ready, Cronus?" said Taro while standing up. "Yeap, all set and ready to go!"

The two then settle off through the field and begin to stare at the noon sky. "Hey, what's that up there?" cries Cronus. "Whoa, it's beautiful! I guess it's a rare Pokémon." The Pokémon in the sky left glittery particles in a rainbow color while flying through a distant rainbow. "Incredible." said Cronus in a amazed but whispered voice. "I wonder if we'll encounter it in person one day." said Taro. "Maybe." said Cronus. The flying Pokémon then departs in the sky and leaves sight. "Well, Cronus! We gotta get movin' pronto!" said Taro. Cronus then gets a shocked look on his face. "Right, let's go!"

The two then continue their walk towards Cherrygrove City.

Hmm... I like it so far , Plenty of references to the anime too right? I don't watch it that often but i remember the first episode of the whole series XD.
Btw, I have a deviantART! You can add me if you want. My username's ArtsyWriter. I'd be pretty grateful if you checked out some of my stuff on there (I posted a link to my story on deviantART here once, but not a lot of people looked at it :/)
Thanks

It's nice so far, but it needs some editings... one thing that really needs some fix here is the way you use paragraphs. Divide them as much as possible. It's easier for the readers to digest what you're saying that way.

I don't really find big chunks( paragraphs) that attractive.

There, I fixed it for ya. Since I don't have anything to do.

I fixed some typos as well. I colored them red.

"Thanks, M- hey! I organized everything! You'll mess all my stuff up!"

"Stuff? What stuff? You have nothing in here but, town map and... your poke doll...really? Are you sure? You don't need this!" She then grabs his Pokédoll of a Piplup and throws it behind her. "Don't be a baby, Cronus! This time you'll get a REAL Pokémon!"

Cronus then sighs in disappointment. "Fine, Mom. I better get going! Bye Mom! I promise I'll be okay. I'll be back in bit to show my new Pokémon!"

Cronus then departs through the door and heads to Professor Elm's Lab. "Awesome, my first ever Pokémon. Atleast, since I've seen Pokémon contests on TV, I might have an idea on training one.

Cronus then slightly opens Professor Elm's Lab door and peeks in and enters. "Yo, Professor Elm!"

Professor Elm then hits his head with the table lamp accidentally. "Ouch! Ya' shouldn't startle me like that!" said Professor Elm while rubbing his head. "So, what brings ya'? Are you finally ready to become a trainer?"

Cronus eyes begin to glimmer."You bet!"

Professor Elm then looks over to a machine in which contains three Pokéballs in triangle formation. "Well, since you're the first visitor I've had in all day, you're in most luck! You get more of an opti-"

Then out of the blue a boy rams in through the door. "Am I late?!" The trainer then runs over towards Prof. Elm and Cronus. "I came to get my starter Pokémon! Am I on time?"

Professor Elm begins to have a surprised look and puts his hand behind his head.

"Heh, since nobody has really visited, and I don't have an organized schedule, technically, you can't be late." He then looks back at Cronus. "Well, since you're here guess you guys should both get acquainted."

The boy looks at Cronus and offers his hand for a shake. "Hiya, I'm Taro Stone! Nice to meet you!"

Cronus then gently smiles. "I'm Cronus, great to meet ya' as well! Looks, as if we'll both become trainers today."

Professor Elm, then claps his hands once.

"So, you would like to Choose Totodile, the Water Type Pokémon?"

Cronus then wonders to himself. "Eh, Water isn't my style."

He then puts the Pokéball back onto the socket.

He then picks up the Pokéball that was originally in the middle."So, Chikorita, the grass type would be to your liking?"

Cronus then studies the Pokéball. "Hmm, Grass type huh? May I let it out?"

Professor Elm then looks at the Taro and back at Cronus. "Sure, go ahead!"

Cronus then smiles and lightly tosses the Pokéball. "Go, Chikorita!"

Chikorita then growls and stares into Cronus' eyes.

"I think my vote falls upon Chikorita, Prof. Elm."

Professor Elm then presses another button on his desk and then the formation of the Pokéballs in the machine reset back. "Alright! Looks like she'll be new friendly friend!" Professor Elm then smiles and pats Taro on the back. "You've been awfully silent. It's your turn. go ahead, choose your Pokémon."

Taro step towards the machine and simply takes the Pokéball to the opposite of the Pokéball in which contained Totodile. "I'll take this one. I'm fine with any Pokémon I choose."

He then lightly tosses the Pokéball and looks at his newly obtained Pokémon. "So, you want Cyndaquil, the Fire Type Pokémon?" Taro then replies eagerly. "Definitely, Fire is my new Type!"

Cronus, still looking at Chikorita, goes on his knees and pets the little Pokémon. "She looks cute. Are Chikorita always female?" he asks Prof. Elm.

"Well, no. But, it's common for there to be a female Chikorita."

Cronus then stands back up. "Okay, so now that we have our new Pokémon, what do we do?"

"Well, lately, I've told/recommended a new way of training Pokémon to trainers that I have given Pokémon to. It's pretty simple actually. Instead of having your Pokémon in a Pokéball, you leave it outside the Pokéball and train it that way. So what do you think? Want to try it?"

Cronus then puts his Pokéball inside his messenger bag and looks back at Professor Elm. "Sure, this is new to me so it will be most exciting!"

Taro then puts his Pokéball in his backpack and nods. "Me too, Cyndaquil might get strong that way!

"Professor Elm then happily chuckles. "Perfect! Now that we are all set. You two can get started on your new adventure. Off you go, I've got tons of e-mails to reply to." He says with a disappointed look.

"Wow, thanks Prof. Elm!" said Cronus while opening the door for Chikorita and Taro.

"Yeah, thanks Professor!"

Both Cronus and Taro walk out the lab and before they part ways Taro asks Cronus, "Hey, do you wanna maybe walk our way to Cherrygrove? Since well, we're kinda weak right now, Heh heh." Cronus then turns around towards Taro.

"Sure but, I gotta talk to visit my Mom first."

Taro nods. "Sure sure, I'll wait here."

"Cronus then goes towards his house and walks in. "Hey Mom! I got my Pokémon!" He then looks down at Chikorita. "Don't worry buddy, we'll get leaving soon, but why don't ya' meet my Mom?" Chikorita then smiles back at Cronus and growls.

"Oh, hello honey! So where is your Pokémon? I can't seem to spot it."

Cronus then points down at Chikorita.

"She's pretty small, huh?" said Cronus' Mother.

"Hey, don't say that to Chikorita! You just brought her self esteem down.

"Chikorita then looks then lowers her head.

"Oh I'm sorry, hun! Don't let your size get the best of you.

"Cronus then opens the door to leave. "Well, Mom, I have to go quick. I have a new friend waiting for me outside.

"Cronus' Mother then turns around towards him and yawns. "Well, tell them I said "Hi"!"

Cronus then exits and walks back towards Taro, which is sitting by the lab's door playing with his Cyndaquil.

"Alright, you ready, Cronus?" said Taro while standing up. "Yeap, all set and ready to go!"

The two then settle off through the field and begin to stare at the noon sky. "Hey, what's that up there?" cries Cronus. "Whoa, it's beautiful! I guess it's a rare Pokémon."

The Pokémon in the sky left glittery particles in a rainbow color while flying through a distant rainbow.

Previously on our young trainers' new adventure, Cronus and Taro have just got acquainted and received their new starter Pokémon. What adventures await our trainers in the marvelous world of Pokémon?

Chapter 2: Let's go Chikory!

Cronus and Taro on their way to Cherrygrove City look around the bright green flowing grass and Cronus begins to wonder just how wonderful the world of Pokémon will treat him. Taro then looks over towards Cyndaquil and picks him up.

"Come on, buddy! You're lookin' awfully tired there. Why don't ya' rest on my shoulder?" says Taro in a rather high confident voice. Cronus simply looks over at Taro and finally wonders something in which rather got him to wonder.

"Say, Taro?" Cronus called out towards Taro.

"Yeah, Cronus?" replied Taro in a rather surprised manner since, he hasn't heard Cronus speak in a while since they left. Cronus then tightens his gloves.

"I was wondering, why haven't I seen you around New Bark Town? Are you from around here?" asked Cronus with an eyebrow lifted while looking at him. Taro then looks forward and continues walking until he finally speaks.

"No...I am from Sinnoh but, my parents thought that it was too cold where we moved here. Then, my father insisted on allowing me to become a trainer since New Bark Town was rather pale and boring. My mother stayed home and my father works at Goldenrod and maneuvers the magnet train that travels from there. Thus, here I am now!" Taro, out of breath, yawns and continues walking. Cronus however, looks around towards the ground.

"Hmm, do you feel homesick?" asked Cronus in a rather worried voice.

"Ahh, of course not! I love it here! The air is warm the trees are green, and best of all my father actually has a job here!" Taro said with pride. Cronus then smiled with delight.

"Well that's pretty good! I've lived in New Bark for practically fifteen years straight, so far. I would've became a trainer at the age of ten but, my mom figured that it was too dangerous." Cronus then looks over to his right and saw a fleet of sleeping Hoothoot, and a wandering cluster of Rattata.

"Hold up, Taro! I've been looking forward for finding a Hoothoot in a long time! I always saw people use them in Pokémon contests on TV." Cronus then reached into his bag carelessly, but to only find out that he has not Pokéballs to capture it. "No-o!" cried Cronus in disappointment as he dropped to his knees. "This might be my only chance to ever see any Hoothoot!" he continued.

"Cronus? Hoothoot are common in Johto, even I know that." said Taro.

"I-I knew that." said Cronus in confident sarcasm. Cronus then turned around towards Taro while gripping his fists. "Are there any Hoothoot in Cherrygrove?" he asked.

"Route 30, which is after Cherrygrove can offer you some Hoothoot, but you'll have to look well as they will be sleeping at this time." said Taro with his by his side.

"Fine, I'm sure me and Chikorita here will get us a fine Hoothoot for our team! Right Chikorita?" asked Cronus to his Chikorita.

"Chiko!" said the Chikorita, in great confidence.

"Perfect!" said Cronus. "Now we just have to make our way to Cherrygrove City! I mean it can't be too far, right?" he said while looking forward from him with his hand above his forehead.

Taro nodded. "Not far at all, just a couple more meters." he said. Say, don't you think just calling Chikorita well, "Chikorita" gets a little pale. I mean there will be a time where you meet a trainer with a Chikorita. So why not be a little more classy and give her a nickname." he said while look up at his Cundaquil.

"Well, that could work. How about, Chiki?" asked Cronus. Chikorita closed her eyes in disgust. "What? How about Chika? asked Cronus once again. But Chikorita moved her head to the right with disgust. "Ugh, Chikory! How about that?" he finally stated.

Chikorita then nodded happily. "Chiko!" she said in excitement.

"Chikory it is!" said Cronus along with a light chuckle.

"Why don't ya' give your Cyndaquil a nickname?" asked Cronus while looking towards Taro's direction.

"Meh, I don't know. Cyndaquil seems so fiery. I think I'll stick to Cyndaquil." he replied with a rather confident voice.

"That's okay!" said Cronus. "Besides, look ahead!"

"Why?" asked Taro.

"We made it to Cherrygrove!" said Cronus in excitement. The two then look skim over the cute, fragrant, flower populated city.

"So, where do we start?" asked Cronus.

"I'm guessing the Pokémart would be a good start." said Taro.

"Then, let's go!" said Cronus and the two then depart to the Pokémart.

"Pretty big for a mart, huh?" said Taro.

Cronus skimmed the Pokémart and it's contents. "Well, now that we are here, I gotta get something important." Cronus walked to the clerk and looked for his receipt that his mother gave him. "Umm, my Mom gave me this. She said that a delivery came and that I'd have to pick it up. It's a Pokégear, was it?" Cronus then hands over the receipt and waits for a response.

"Oh yeah, that came by this morning. Here ya' go!" The clerk handed over an indigo devices that looked like a phone and so happens to be the Pokégear. "This baby is piece of work." Cronus took the Pokégear and flipped the lid. "So what's it do?" asked Cronus.

Taro then raised his hand with his finger sticking up. "Allow me to explain that for ya'!" he said followed by Cronus turning towards him in confusion. "It's an awesome device in which allows you to call other people, use it as a map, track time with it, and even use it as a radio!" he then dug in his bag and took out his blue Pokégear. "See, I have my own which I got this morning. That's why I came to the lab late." he then put it back. "Right now, you can only use the phone and clock but you can get these cards that can be installed to the Pokégear." Taro then puts his Pokégear away in his bag.

"Thanks for the explanation, Taro!" Cronus said. "Say, sir, do you have any Pokéballs for sale?"

"Do we? Of course we do!" The clerk then handed five Pokéballs to Cronus. "I'm guessing you're a rookie trainer, so I'll give you a free sample. But next time, they'll be 200 Pokédollars, so use 'em to catch wild Pokémon. And never, ever throw a Pokéball at a trainers Pokémon, that would be stealing. Have a nice day!"

Cronus then looks at the Pokéballs and puts them in his bag. "Thanks, sir!" Cronus and Taro leave the Pokémart and happen to see an old man on the side of the entrance to Cherrygrove. "Say, who could that be?"

"Beats me." said Taro and the two walk over to him. Suddenly the man jumps up from his position.

"Hiya, I'm this town's Guide Gent! Let me teach ya' a few things on your beginning journey!" said the old man.

"Ehh, sure." said Cronus nervously.

"Okay, since you already know the Pokémart over sells items in which you will need on your journey, the building with the red roof? The Pokécenter of course! You will be relying on them plentiful through out your quest." The trio then walk over to the body of water on the opposite side of the city. "This body of water and all the other bodies of water in Johto, might have Pokémon in them as you may know. Search and you'll find what you want." The Guide Gent then takes them in front of another building. "This here? My house of course, and I thank you gradually for your company. As my thanks, take this!" The Guide Gent then hands over a card to Cronus. "If you have a town map, you can let it go, because with this card that you put into your Pokégear ought to install a map into it!"

"Gee, thanks!" Cronus then clicked in the card into his Pokégear. "I see a map now, thanks Guide Ge-" but the man was gone.

Then a window in the house opens. "Don't forget to visit sometime, will ya'?" he then closes the window.

"Okay!" said Cronus and he turns around with Taro.

"Odd guy, huh? Nice of him to give you a map card. My father gave me my Pokégear with the stuff installed already so it'll be easy for me. Perhaps, we can buy you the rest of the cards." said Taro while studying his Pokégear.

"Well, to say the truth, this city is awfully small. I believe we should get going to through Route 30 if we want to reach those Hoothoot!" said Cronus.

Taro then pats Cronus on the back. "Calm down, why don't we just rest up here for the rest of the day. Then, at night we can have a much easier time finding Hoothoot. But me, I want a Gastly, I heard they are pretty rare around these parts."

Cronus then heads towards the entrance to Route 30 and exit Cherrygrove. "Let's camp out here!" Cronus digs in his bag and takes out a blanket. "We'll use this as a platform for use to rest upon."

"That will do us fine!" said Taro and he looked over at the water.

"Ah, Chikory! You're looking rather lovely, but why so silent?" asked Cronus.

"Chiko!" cried Chikory and it walk over to Cyndaquil and began to speak to it.

"Well, I guess it takes time." Cronus then looks up at the sky and begins to watch the clouds as the day goes by. "I can't believe I've start my new adventure. It just seems so marvelous. I can't wait for the challenges that await me!" he though to himself

Will Cronus capture the Hoothoot? You'll have to wait 'til Chapter 3...heheheheheh!

The two friends lay in the green vivid quilt as the fragrant breeze gently hovers over them. As the day gets the best of Cronus, Chikory, Cyndaquil, and Taro, they sleep in utter delight

Chapter 3: Catch 'em Hoothoot!

Suddenly, only one name came up in Cronus' sleeping mind..."Hoothoot." Then, Cronus opens his eyes and looks around. "Goodness! What time is it!" But the city is quiet and the houses dark. He then turns back around. Well atleast we didn't lay in Cherrygrove. "Well even if it's late and we overslept, that just benefits me. I'll leave Taro alone and I'll need Chikory since I've seen captures on TV." he then moves over and tries to wake up Chikory. "Come on, buddy. Wake up."

"Chiko!" said Chikory eagerly.

"Shhh, quiet. It's late and I'm going to catch a Hoothoot." said Cronus symbolizing with his hand to be quiet to Chikory. She then snuggles her head on Cronus' arm followed by Cronus picking her up. "Come on, let us capture a new friend." Cronus looks in his bag in search for a Pokéball. "Alright, got it! Let's go Chikory!" he said while holding her under his arm. The duo then begin to walk to where there were bushes. Cronus puts Chikory down and looks to his right. "Hold up, I think I see something." The bushes begin to shake and he catches sight of a Spinarak. "Hey, it's a Spinarak, the type of Pokémon Taro wants. Too bad he is sleeping right now. Better not wake him, heh heh." Cronus then moves towards the opposite direction of where he was at. "My, it sure is dark tonight!" he said while looking back to where Taro and his Cyndaquil were sleeping.

"Chiko!" said Chikory as she ran to the left side of Cronus.

"What is it, Chikory? Did you spot something?" he said as he gripped the Pokéball in his hand.

"Chiko chiko!" yelled Chikory at a bush.

"Ha! This is probably just what I'm looking for." said Cronus. Then the bush in which Chikory was focused on, began to shake even more until finally, a nice brown colored bird type Pokémon came out.

"Hoo, hooo!" said the bird Pokémon.

"There it is!" said Cronus in a high excited voice. "Chikory, use Tackle on that Hoothoot."

"Chiko!" replied Chikory as she ran towards Hoothoot.

"Hoo!" said the Hoothoot as it simply flapped its wings and fluttered.

"Shoot, It missed!" said Cronus in disappointment. "Alright then, if that's how it is...Chikory, use Razor Leaf!"

The leaf on Chikory's head begins to glow and then she tilts her head left and right, letting out crescent leaves flying towards Hoothoot.

"Strike!" yelled Cronus as the Hoothoot crash landed on the ground. "That should do it! Now, go Pokéball!" Cronus threw the Pokéball in a flying disc type way towards the Hoothoot. Then, the Pokéball opened and the Hoothoot was helplessly caught in. "Come on..." said Cronus hoping that he would catch the Hoothoot. Now, the line between Cronus capturing Hoothoot and not catching it was getting even narrower leaving Cronus sweating with excitement and faith. The Pokéball, as Cronus and Chikory could see it, was tilting left to right and right to left, until finally...it stopped and the middle of the Pokéball turned from red back to white. "Yes...yes..yes! We did it, Chikory! We caught Hoothoot!" Cronus Picked up Chikory and hugged her tightly.

"Chik-o." she said being squished by Cronus.

Cronus then puts Chikory down and picks up the Pokéball and out comes the Hoothoot.

"Hoo hooo!" said the Hoothoot. and it laid down on the grass exhaustively.

"Man, you look hurt. I think we over did it Chikory. Come on let's take it to the Pokémon Center." he said.

Then, out of the dusk comes Taro clapping his hands slowly. "Great capture, Cronus! I've never seen one like it! But, the poor guy is hurt, so I'll walk with ya' back to the Cherrygrove Pokémon Center."

"Sure!" said Cronus and looked towards his injured Hoothoot. "Alright, Hoothoot, retreat!" he said as her pressed the button and the Pokémon returned into the Pokéball. "Let's go..." On their way back to the Pokémon Center in Cherrygrove City, Cronus holds the Pokéball in an intense grip. "Don't worry Hoothoot, you'll be perfectly fine."

Finally, they reached the Pokémon Center. "Alright, this ought to be it!" said Taro and the two went in with their Pokémon.

"Hello there, you're both out pretty late. Is something the matter?" said Nurse Joy, the nurse in the Pokémon Center.

"Uh, yes, my Pokémon appear to be tired. Could you fix them up?" asked Cronus.

"Why of course!" she said. "Just hand them over." Cronus handed over his Pokéball and picked Chikory up and put her on the counter. Nurse Joy put the Pokéball in a machine and Chikorita on top of another machine. The Pokéball glowed and Chikorysat on the other machine with a stiff stare. Finally, the Pokéball stopped glowing and she handed it to Cronus followed by giving Chikory back to Cronus. "Your Pokémon are fighting fit. We hope to see you again, bye bye!" she said while going to a door that led to a back room.

"Wow, that's awesome! How do you feel, Chikory? said Cronus.

"Chiko!" replied Chikory with glee.

"Perfect!" said Cronus. "Now we can proceed to Violet City!" he said while heading to the exit.

"Sure. Why don't we go now? I mean, we already had a days full of rest, heh. So it makes sense that we get going. Besides, I'm nowhere near tired now." said Taro.

"Makes sense, let's go." replied Cronus, and they left the Pokémon Center, followed by leaving Cherrygrove. "Well which is Violet City...?" he said to himself while entering Route 30 and exiting Cherrygrove. "Ahh, I got it!" he picked walked over to where his stuff were at and picked up his messenger bag, folded the quilt and put it in his bag. "Okay, let's check the Pokégear Map." he said while getting his Pokégear and switching to map mode. "Alright, all we have to do is, head north and make right, followed by a left and finally another left. Fine by me. You ready, Taro?" he said.

"Yeah, we might get going before dawn gets the better of us." he said and began walking forward.

"Very well, let's go Chikory!" he said and picked Chikory up and put her under his arm, carried her.

"Say, Cronus? I still want to catch that Spinarak, and we are bound to find one. So... just keep and eye out okay?" asked Taro.

"Sure thing, dude." he said as he looked back down at Chikory and towards to his direction. "I will..."

And so, the two friends head through Route 30 and on to Violet City and continue their marvelous Pokémon journey.

Cronus and Taro finally make it to Violet City, hoping that there is a gym for Cronus to battle in. However, what they came to see was a purple city with dojo like homes.

Chapter 4: Feelings through flight!

So this is Violet City? said Cronus in disappointment. "I was expecting, a more vivid city..."

"There is Violet City for ya'!" said Taro. "Well then, I guess since it's dawn, everyone is probably waking up or so. Why don't we look around, maybe we'll even come across the Gym."

"That will do." said Cronus as he passed by the Pokémon Center and made a right. "Ugh, there is nothing but, houses" he paused and saw a huge tower followed by what appeared to be the Violet City Gym to his left. Although, the city was quiet, there was some commotion going on at the Gym.

"Look there, it's-it's Falkner, the Violet City Gym Leader!" said Taro in excitement. "But what is he doing going in the gym so early?"

"There really is only one way to find out...let's check it out." said Cronus with a confident voice. They followed the noise and soon found themselves several meter from the commotion in the gym.

Out of the blue, appears an oddly looking round man with a blue business suit and a red bow-tie asking a question in an absurd language. "Good morning, up early is you? Defeat gym leader, winner is you?" he asked in some Engrish like language.

"Uhh..." Cronus looked at the man in confusion.

"No we haven't, and we are planning to right now." replied Taro suddenly as if he understood what the man was saying.

"Earl name is my! Teach you something good I will! Accept you will?" asked the man who claimed to be called Earl.

"Well, I guess we don't need it since I've learned all about Pokémon techniques and such. What about you Taro? said Cronus.

"I doubt we'll need the help. Thank you though, Mr.Earl!" said Taro.

The two then left Earl alone and Cronus slowly opened the door to the gym. "Well, let's see what the Gym Leader specifies on!" Cronus said followed by Taro and their Pokémon to come in. However, they were astonished to see that Falkner was already battling another trainer. It was a young girl somewhere around Taro's age and was using a Raticate against Falkner's Pidgeotto. "I guess we'll have to take a seat!" he said to Taro. Cronus then looked over to through the aisle and saw two teens around his age and were watching the battle. Cronus studied the trainer and his clothing style as it wasn't similar to his, with the exception of them both wearing headbands. Cronus' headband is be pale green with green dots circulating around it making it look like the color like buds that a Chikorita has on it's neck, while the other trainer has lightning streaks and a diamond in the middle. Cronus' long jet black hair covered his headband, while the other trainer's hair didn't even cover it. The other teen, was a girl with bright pink hair tied into two ponytails, and she sat next to the male teen with the lightning headband.

"Wow!" said Taro while watching the Pokémon battle between the girl's Ratticate and Falkner's Pidgeotto. "She looks tough! Check out Falkner's Pidgeotto, imagine taking on that."

Cronus looked back at Taro and towards the battle. "I'll say, I wonder who is winning?" he said.

"Ratticate, use Hyper Fang!" said the girl. The Ratticate jumped in the air and it's fangs began to glow.

"Peck attack go!" Falkner yelled and Pidgeotto pecked Raticate in the stomach repeatedly. Raticate fell backwards and fainted.

"Aw, come on!" The girl squealed and returned her Pokemon.

"Raticate can no longer battle! The winner is Pidgeotto!" declared a another person who Cronus thought was the judge.

The girl looked at Falkner as he smirked."You ready to give up?" asked Falkner. The girl cringed back and sighed and nodded. Falkner flipped his hair a returned his Pidgeotto. He made his way to the girl and held his hand out. "Good job" He said looking at her. She looked surprised at the situation and got a grasp of Falkner's hand and shook it smiling.

"You too..." she said.

Taro ran towards the field where the battle had finished. "That was awesome!" he yelled with glee. "When can my friend, Cronus here battle you?" he asked.

"Well, I found this awfully impromptu!" said Falkner. "In fact, I really didn't have an option. Yet, I took the battle. Also, I'm not even sure if there are other trainers who would like to battle..." he said followed by looking towards the seats with the two teens in them. "Besides, I have to heal my Pokémon at the Center, mind you." he then exits the gym. "Just stay put, will ya'."

The girl the walks towards the two other teens that are sitting. Taro follows her to where the two are were at. "Hiya, I'm Taro!" he says laying his hand out to the kid with the headband.

"The kid with the headband replies "Uh, hi?" he says as he shakes his hand. "I'm Chris... what brings you here? he asked.

Cronus walks towards Taro looks at Chris. "Good morning. I'm Cronus Satō. Excuse my friend if he startled you." he said.

"No damage done..." said Chris. "However, in return, let me take a look at your Pokémon, mind you." he said.

"Eh, okay..." replied Cronus and he put Chikory on the ground and took a Pokéball from his belt. "Come out Hoothoot."

"Hoooo! growled the Hoothoot.

"Meh, nothing new. Except that Chikorita of yours, it looks rather strong but, you'll lose to Falkner." said Chris.

"Oh yeah, what about your Pokémon? Why don't we have a battle?" said Cronus in a concerned manner.

"Well, I already have a scheduled match with Falkner. So, it's either wait or scoot." replied Chris.

The girl with the pink hair finally spoke. "Chris, you're a little harsh. Why don't ya' give him a quick battle. I mean, it's not like Falkner will come in rig-"

"Alright, who's next?" said Falkner as he came in with a smile.

"My point exactly..." said Chris. "Alright, I'm next! Let's go!"

"Very well!" said Falkner. "Are you ready?" he asked followed by taking a Pokéball and throwing it. "Go, Pidgey!"

Will Chris win the Pokémon Battle? Will Cronus even get a chance to battle Falkner? Find out when I feel like it!

I couldn't tell if there was a description of the main character in it or not, but I edited a Wally sprite to look like what I think he'd look like.

It's at http://www.facebook.com/home.php?#!/photo.php?pid=283886&id=100000291345051

Nice, it sounds awesome, and I can't wait until the next chapter. Man, that is one good story, I like the style of writing that it possesses.
