well i am playing final fantasy 3 (nes version patched to english) and no matter what emulator i use, whenever i walk the screen kind of changes colors slightly (a flicker is only way i can describe it, try the game using plugin on the rgr and watch the surroundings as you walk and stop walking, you will see what i mean(i made sure the rgr had this problem as well) is this normal or am i messing up something? P.S. i dont want filtering, i want it to look like the game was meant to look so i can experiance like i would have if it was released in the us and if i had an nes to play it on. the emulators i have used are nestopia 1.40 and 1.41(unofficial),JNES,FCEux,and the rgr plugin emulator, any help is appreciated.

There might not be anything that can be done about it as it's a patched game.
Try playing the clean Japanese version on your PC and tell me if that also flickers.
If it does it could just be your PC not handling something graphical that it needs to...

Found out what the problem was the big flickering thing was screen tearing from no v sync and the color change was just the way the game is. thanks for the help.
EDIT: you can close this now.
