I think family guy because everything is just so spontanious and they just blow everything out of proportion on it and it really is funny if your into those kind of jokes and you have to love the charactors

Family Guy, I can actually relate to it, granted the humor is crude but overall there is a deep message about families sticking together no matter what (including the end of the world). South Park seems to random, but still has it hilarious moments. To tell the truth though I like futurama, finally new episodes!!!!

South Park is great but family guy makes me rofl laugh every single time. There are a lot of south park episodes that bore the crud outta me O_o. Family guy may have came second, but its so much funnier then south park could be. My favorite episode on family guy has got to be the Petarded episode!! It never gets old lol.

I like both shows, but I like South Park more as a whole. I find if you follow South Park it gets better every season, I don't care too much for their first couple of seasons, but about halfway through the series it started getting really good I think. Everything is so over the top and ridiculous that I can't help but enjoy watching to see what they could possibly come up with.

While I like Family Guy, I find it tends to stick to the same style the whole time, however that being a random style, if you like that style of humour (which I do) it works.

Although to be fair I follow South Park more closely than Family Guy, so I'm biased.

I have watched both shows, but I like Family Guy better. The utter randomness of the show gets my attention, and I could watch it for the rest of my life. South Park is ok, but it seemed to get less and less funny, while Family Guy makes me lol almost every episode. My favorite has got to be the "I Dream of Jesus" episode

I like family guy better hands down.I used to like south park a long time ago,but i guess i just grew out of it.

This is a very tough poll because I like both of them a lot! But If I really had to choose I'd go with Family Guy just because it seems to be funnier and proves it doesn't need all those bad words to be funny.

I like family guy because they're ideas are original, like in one episode Peter tries to think of a new name which he quickly looked around to describe what was around him which was Pea-tear-Griffin!

My vote is South Park though Family Guy is very entertaining from time to time. South Park deserves more credit because it was before it’s time to a degree. 20 years ago when The Simpsons were just starting up as a regular series I remember seeing all these news stories particularly on the “entertainment” shows where they criticized the content of the program and particularly the language. For me I feel that The Simpsons were cutting edge and spun off several notable series that weren’t directly spun off from the series itself but from a content standpoint.

South Park just took it to a farther level. I’m one of those that believe that if it weren’t for The Simpsons there would be no concept such as Adult Swim. I may be in the minority but I stand by my opinion. The Simpsons were revolutionary in terms of the animated sitcom.

well they all have good points like family guy having better animation it is limited to what it says and does because of fox whereas south park has unlimited possibility seeing as they are on late night comedy central who tolerate almost any kind of humour but the animation is a little poor
so my vote goes out to south park!

big fat cat : I agree with you… What bothers me about Comedy Central is that I feel that the channel would be so much better served to go to an uncensored format. I think that Comedy Central would be a big competitor to HBO’s twenty-four hour comedy network especially since it isn’t available everywhere if the stand up that they air was completely uncensored. I idolized George Carlin and I feel that Comedy Central’s tribute to him following his passing would have done more justice if they didn’t have to censor the footage they showed. Especially since Carlin critiqued and criticized the very concept of censorship and in many ways exposed the hypocrisy of it.

I think that if Comedy Central were uncensored it would also open the door creatively to animated shows that want to be cutting edge. It makes you wish Adult Swim was a twenty-four hour pay subscription network like HBO or Showtime.

I grew up watching Fox and I will admit that the network has sort of done a 180 from what it was originally… I am a big Married with Children fan and it makes me wonder if that sitcom would be as great and innovative as it was if it had come up after Fox became more mainstream. Fox is still good don’t get me wrong but part of me wishes that they would revert back to the 80s/early 90s version.

south park is the best show not only of the two but of every show on tv family guy is great dont get me wrong but i do believe that south park is better, i have been watching southpark since i was 8

Family Guy. The humor is more intelligent, and besides, it makes more sense. South Park is just... Dumb to say in the least. I don't understand it very well.

I used to love both of them. Family Guy just got too stupid. South Park lacks everything that it had when I grew up watching it (no Chef, no dead Kenny, no TIMMEH! anymore, and it's not as clever as it used to be).

FG. It seems more legitimately funny. I had the honor of seeing Seth McFarlane at a comedy show a few years back, and he is extremely funny. Just like the show, he just repeatedly fires hilarious references at you. SP is just crude. Funny, but crude, nonetheless.
