Totally forgot about this thread lol.

Karlstevens: I haven't seen Into The Wild Green Yonder yet, mostly because I know the ending to it, though I honestly loved Bender's Big Score a lot. I really didn't like Beast With a Billion Back though I thought Bender's Game was excellent with all the DND references they had.

Which Dawn of the Dead are you talking about? Because I thought both of them rocked, though the remake didn't rock as much as the first one. Land of Dead was TOO modern, considering how Night of the Living Dead just used blocky TV's and radios. I usually try to skip this movie

nate : I always liked Andre the Giant's performance in Princess Bride, maybe because he was wrestler I was a fan of or just because he was awesome. Mandy Patakin's and Christopher Guest's performances were as good too.

Have you by chance seen the new Nightmare on Elm Street? If so it any good, perhaps some comparisons between original and new one.

@Jigsaw: I nearly skipped this flick when Michael Bay was producing that garbage. What I hate is how they changed Freddy into a pedophile instead of the serial killer as he once was. Jackie Earle Haley does an okay job on Freddy but Robert Englund is always the best. If you want a movie that just goes from a killer killing Character A to Character D without any spooks, then watch Nightmare on Elm Street.

@Bignatealpha I thought Nightmare Before Christmas was one of Tim Burton's best, next to Pee-Wee's Big Adventure and Ed Wood. The stop motion in the flick was awesome, the songs, and the acting. It's an awesome movie to watch during Halloween, nuff said.

@Crawldragon Where can I start? The moaning of Chris O'Donnell nearly ALL the time, the ridiculous innuendos, the pun's that weren't needed, the BAT CREDITCARD!. Seriously, what was Schumacher thinking when he made the movie? He obviously knows that Batman is supposed to be dark not focusing on Bat nipples

While we're on the subject of Batman, how about Batman: The Movie, the one based on the '60s TV show?

bignatealpha : I always found the 60's Batman to be very cheesy but I could see why they didn't want to do a darker version. But for what it's worth, Batman: The Movie is a pretty good adaptation of the series. I thought the casting of Frank Gorshin and Burgess Meredith were brilliant picks for the roles of Riddler and Penguin. However I wish they had Vincent Price for the Eggman before he was casted on the series or Clint Eastwood as Two-Face.

hypermonkey : I'll get back to you on Iron Man 2, I haven't seen it yet and honestly I feel as just don't want to see it.

iop50 : Well, I think the remake really did capture the essence of the original one, while Jackie doesn't capture the spirit of Pat Morita, he's still excellent as a trainer. However one thing I would have changed about it is the title. I believe Kung-Fu Kid would've been a far much more appropriate title for it. While it's not as good as the original in many aspects, I thought the way they portrayed the bullies was MUCH better than they did the 80's version. Personally while it's not as good as Karate Kid it's way better than the other ones in the series.

bigNATE : Personally I think Toy Story 3 was probably one of the best movies of the year. Before I begin praising it, I thought some of the other character development was weak especially since I wanted to see more of that hedgehog considering how he was voiced by one of my favorite James Bonds. Also, that creepy monkey and baby really freaked me out in that movie. However, the ending nearly gave me a tear in my eye and it was the perfect way to end a trilogy like that. How it stacks against the others? I'd go with the first Toy Story, the third, and the second last.

iop50 : All of them are garbage, seriously why are there even needed? The first Pokemon movie was a guilty pleasure, but then it just struck me that it's just a godawful tie-in for the video games.

Crawldragon : I think NC was a bit too harsh on that movie, considering how he failed to see the point of the numerous cameos and that the whole point of the movie was just to have no brain while viewing which is a bit hypocritical from him if you ask me considering how he ranks Hot Fuzz and that movie was just plan silly. Honestly, it's a really good skewing of the whole action genre and I thought it was hilarious.

iLikeCupcakes : To me, I think John Carpenter should've removed the Halloween from Season of the Witch and released it as that. But to me, it's a meh movie that feels like it's an episode of Tales From The Crypt than Halloween. But I think Carpenters other works are masterpieces like Escape from New York or The Thing.
