The 2026 World Series between the Tampa Bay Rays and the Milwaukee Brewers starts today! It's a special one, since neither the Rays nor the Brewers have won the World Series before. This is the first time since 1980 that both teams in the World Series had never won before!

Do you have any predictions? Which team are you rooting for?

As a Yankees fan, I'm definitely rooting for the Brewers, even though the Rays are the closest MLB team to where I live. I also think the Brewers will likely win; they have a stronger team overall, in my opinion.

Since the Rays play less than an hour and a half from my house, I am strongly considering going to a World Series game. Game 5 would be the game I'd go to (if the series goes 5 games), since I am currently not working on the day that it's taking place. Tickets are around $850 apiece right now, but I expect that price to come down. Game 3 tickets were $800 a few days ago, but they've already come down to $680. These prices may seem high, but tickets to the games in Milwaukee are all over $2,000 apiece!

BIG Christian Yelich fan here.

I don't really watch baseball much, I was an Indians fan a long time ago so I was kind of sad they didn't make it.

Really I wouldn't mind either team winning, but I am rooting for Milwaukee. I am just glad the Dodgers didn't make it.

I also think the Brewers are probably the favorite, but it should be a close series.

I would not pay $850 for a ticket, but some people have more money than me!

Barathemos : I won't pay $850 either, especially since my team is not involved. My plan is to drive out towards Tampa and try to snag a ticket on Seatgeek right before the game starts, or maybe even during the first inning. Scalpers bring down the price substantially as it gets closer to game time, because they don't want to be left with nothing. My cousin got tickets to the 2015 World Series for like $30 doing this. He bought tickets after the game had started, and got to his seat by the second or third inning.

If tickets are still too expensive as game time approaches, or if there are none left, I could just hit the casino in Tampa as a backup plan lol. I haven't been yet, and I've been wanting to check it out.

PriotizedPatron_16x16.pngtgags123 : The bad thing about Seatgeek is the seller still needs to transfer the ticket to you, since there is no "escrow" for the ticket, they might not actually have it!

This happens all the time with concert tickets, its really a horrible business practice for seatgeek, but since ticketmaster doesn't allow resell I guess that is just how it is.

You could always hit up those gambling cruises lololol.

I will likely be rooting for the Brewers, but only because it would be cool for Jacob Misiorowski to get a ring after the kind of year he's had. I like Chourio too I guess, and I have some Yelich autos too that could probably grow in value.

Barathemos : Oh shoot, really? Maybe I should use StubHub instead then. I know from past experience that StubHub has instant ticket transfer. I assumed SeatGeek did as well, especially since they have a partnership with MLB.

The Brewers take game 1 by a score of 3-2! Game 2 is tomorrow, with Drew Rasmussen pitching for Tampa Bay and Logan Henderson pitching for Milwaukee.

I was just coming here to say that Game 1 is over! Actually a very close game, although the Brewers did have the lead for the whole game.

Miso come out swining too, I saw that his first pitch was the fastest in MLB World Series history. That guy has quite the arm on him.

3 more wins for the Brewers.

Well game 2 is over, and the Brewers pulled off another win, which I wasn't expecting after the Rays came out swinging and scored 4 runs in the first inning.

Halfway there for the Brewers, and I don't know how the Rays come back from a loss after starting off the game so well.

The Brewers absolutely obliterated the Rays today, 10-1. Just a completely dominant performance. It seems like this series is over. I'm still planning on trying to go to Game 5, but it seems very likely that there won't be a Game 5 lol.

No team has ever come back from down 3 games to 0 in the World Series. Only 1 team has ever come back from a 3-0 series deficit in any round of the postseason. (I will not mention the teams involved the one time it happened. I refuse.)

The Rays need a miracle. At least there were able to get a few hits and even a run at the end of the game. Maybe that will give them some momentum.

At this point, I'm hoping for the Rays to win tomorrow, and the Brewers to win Game 5 with me in attendance (if I am able to snag last-minute tickets at a good price, which I suspect I will be). That would be sick.
