Announced last year on my Birthday Dragon Ball Genkidamatsuri will be held in Japan on January 25th featuring 2 exclusive announcements if I had to guess an anime and a movie and then a new video game announcement.

As for what I want please bring back Dragon Ball Super I would love to see the anime cover the manga arcs and go past where the manga went on hiatus of course getting Dragon Ball content without Akira Toriyama will be weird but Super or at least the manga feels incomplete with us knowing of a enemy they haven't dealt with yet. As for the new game I don't see it happening but I would love a new Budokai game but with Fighterz being a thing and getting new content that's almost certainly not happening.

Now for what I think will happen I'll guess that Daima will be getting the movie and we'll probably get some spinoff anime for the other as for the game probably something entirely new I would say Xenoverse 3 but the fact the dlc packs won't be done yet for 2 makes it hard to imagine a Xenoverse 3 announcement.

The continuation of the manga would be a good announcement, though I sincerely don't know how will they continue it from here on. Black Frieza needs to be further explored on, I wonder what Toyotaro has in store for us.

If anything, the new anime should be precisely the manga. Animating all the battles with Moro, Vegeta's new transformation, Granolah, Gas and his fighting style, and obviously having Bardock once more on the big screen showing us how Saiyans truly are. I'd be down to watch that, and that's coming from someone who skipped Super because the story felt a bit bland.

A new movie is absolutely due. If it's about Daima, I see it as a big mistake considering all the other kind of material they have plus the fact they can (and in my opinion should) continue with the story of Broly or present an entirely new character like they did with Broly. I was extremely hyped back then, and unless the new movie is actually Daima-style I will also be hyped for that.

A new videogame... I don't think that one will fall. Sparking Zero has just reached Nintendo consoles a couple months ago so even if the announcement is for late 2026 or even later I think it's way too soon. Unless we're talking about a non-console videogame or a non-core videogame (like Dragon Ball Heroes or sidegames like that), but then what's the point of announcing it in such an important event?

I think that's what we'll get: the new anime series following the manga, which will return to printing and expand the story, and a new movie hopefully away from Daima. Dreaming is free of charge, after all.

EX Palen : I might of worded it poorly but one of the announced things is a new video game announcement which is why I find that the hardest thing to predict like you said Sparking Zero just came to Switch so what could be big enough to reveal here? Unless they also worded it poorly and it's dlc announcement for Sparking Zero or something since they already confirmed there will be more Sparking Zero DLC.

I also don't want either announcement to be Daima but I have a hard time believing they won't continue with it in some way but I hope I'm wrong.

SonicOlmstead : Then it's definitely going to be a DLC for Sparking Zero, maybe not just new characters but maybe expanding the game as well like the Elden Ring DLC. It's the only thing that could be big enough to justify its presence, at least given our hype levels for the event. Who knows, the videogame could be related to the anime announcement, nobody said the announcement wouldn't be a shadow drop and the anime start airing in February or March.

As for not continuing Daima, I guess we should check what its popularity and view rate was. The anime has constantly come and gone based on tons of reasons, remember the promotional Dragon Ball Heroes anime and the absolute s*** 3D it tried to show. It would be perfectly possible for an announcement totally unrelated to Daima which would be left as another one of those animes that fall on a grey zone in the DB lore, like GT previously and many others. But if it somehow was popular and boosted the franchise, then sadly it will be continued.

This opens up the chance of the Sparking Zero DLC to be Daima, considering the new transformations and characters we saw there, and in a sense that would cover the Daima part of the announcements and leave an entirely new anime or movie for the second one. If we can't avoid Daima, then that'd be the best scenario we could get, sincerely.
