Mega Man V was released for Game Boy and it introduced us to something new. The game introduced us to 10 new characters called Stardroids. 9 Stardroids are named after planets in our solar system. Pluto is one of the 9 stardroids and he is named after, at that time the planet Pluto, which is now a dwarf planet. Anyway lets learn about Pluto

Background- After the events of Mega Man IV Dr. Wily unearthed or discovered an alien robot named Sun Star. Wily discovered Sun Star was made out of alien armor that general weapons could not hurt him. Wily used Sun Star as a template to create the Stardroids alien robot masters. First he made Terra to be the commander of the Stardroids then he named others. Pluto was one of the ones that Wily created.

Terra lead the first wave of Stardroids to attack earth. Terra even encountered Mega Man was able to defeat him. Mega Man recovered and Dr. Light changed Mega Man's weapon system so it would damage the new invaders. Pluto was in the second wave of Star Droids.

Pluto has taken over an old alien base/fort on the planet Pluto. After defeating the first 4 Stardroids Mega Man travels in space to take out the Stardroids space stations on their home planet. Pluto awaited Mega Man's arrival. Mega Man made his way through Pluto's fort and confronted Pluto. Pluto put up a good fight but Mega Man eventually got the upper hand. Pluto was defeated but it is revealed he is alive likely working for Wily.

Appearance- Pluto is a human/cat hybrid type robot master. He has a human like face, but has cat ears. He has long claws that can retract like a cat. His claws can also regrow if they are damaged. He blue, mostly purple, and gold armor. He also resembles a snow cat as he has a lot of fur on him. He also has a long purple/blue tail.

Personality- Pluto is very confident in his abilities and is loyal. He is a very effective fighter and planner. However, he can be vain at times. Since he is based off of a cat he likes to groom or have himself groomed. He likes keeping his claws neat, although it hates it when his claws get damage. But his claws do grow back. He does not like pedicures though cause he has stubbed claws for feet. Despite being on one of the coldest planets in our solar system he prefers warm weather and does not like the cold. However, he can function in the cold as well as the heat. He cannot stand his peer Mercury because he is weak to Mercury's weapon.

Attack- Pluto can be a very tough opponent. If the player/opponent gets close to him he can slash them with his sharp claws doing massive damage. He can also climb the wall and fire homing missiles or plasma shots at the player. He is very fast and agile like a feline. HIs main attack is his break dash. When Pluto does this he can use super sonic speed to move across the room and dash into the player. He cannot be hurt when he is using his break dash weapon. Moreover, Pluto can sometimes dodge the opponents attacks as he likes to jump a lot. He uses his attacks in a rapid manner. His fights are very fast past.

Weakness- Pluto weakness is the Mercury Grab Buster. The Grab Buster steals his energy and returns it to the player. If you do not want to fight him using his weakness. Pluto is best fought at a distance so you can have time to react to whatever he is doing. Fighting Pluto close up is only helping Pluto.

After he is defeated the player will get his Break Dash Weapon. The player can use the Break Dash to break through walls, and even go through some enemies without getting hurt.

Good Point- Cat like reflexes

Likes- Nail art and keeping his nails neat

Dislikes- Pedicures

Pluto likes nail art and it is hinted he is an artists in his spare time as he likes to create and make things out of his claws. He does not like the cold yet he took over the coldest place in the solar system. It is speculated that his base may have been kept at a tropical like temperature. He prefers the warm weather.

He is also friends with Slash Man who is designed after him. Dr. Wily was impressed with Pluto that he designed Slash Man after Pluto. Both have similar attack patterns and both are powerful bosses.

Dr. Wily values Pluto as he made a future robot master designed after him. He also values Pluto for his reflexes, intelligence, and his combat abilities. This is likely why Wily used Pluto as a template for Slash Man. Since Pluto does not like the cold it is speculated that in addition to keeping his base at room temperature. It is speculated Wily may have ordered Pluto to go to the coldest planet.

Moreover, Pluto is one of the few robot masters based off of an animal. In Pluto's case he is based off of felines in general. After the events of Mega Man V considering how Wily used him as a template. It is speculated he still works for Wily in some way. This concludes the Pluto Biography.

pluto's basically like a giant robo cat haha. his claws and that break dash move are wild, it feels so good to just plow through enemies. i remember playing mega man v on my gbc and wondering why no one talks about the star droids. pluto's stage felt kinda lonely and spacey, which made him stick out for me. also he looks like he belongs in a sonic game lol. this post makes me wanna replay the game now and see if i still hate his weakness to mercury's bubble weapon.
