Mega Man V introduced us to the Stardroids. Basically, the stardroids were alien like robot masters. Even though they are alien like they serve the same purpose as regular robot masters. Mercury is one of the 10 star droids from Mega Man V

Background- Mercury as his name implies is named after the planet Mercury. He is also named after the liquid element Mercury. He was created by Dr. Wily to be part of the Stardroid unit that invades Earth from Space. Even Though it was Wily pulling the strings.

He was one of the first group of star droids that attacked Earth. He appears to have taken over a mineral plant as his base. He eagerly awaited Mega Man's arrival. Like most of the Stardroids Mercury thought that him being out of alien material meant he could not be stopped. That was proven false after Light upgraded Mega Man's weapons.

Mega Man defeated Mercury and as a result freed the mineral center he had taken over. His CD data suggest he is alive, but given how he is not seen with Wily again. It is highly speculated he went back to space.

Appearance- Mercury is a human like robot. However he is made out of partially liquid and can even turn into a liquid. This is due to Mercury the mineral being liquid in its natural state. He has spikes on the side of his helmet. In addition, he is made up of green and pink armor.

Personality- Mercury is greedy and loves taking things that do not belong to him. He can uses his weapon to get energy capsules, energy tanks, and other items. He is a complete anarchist and does not respect law and order. After he has committed a crime he runs away as he does not want to get caught. In addition, he is very arrogant and bashes everybody. He even talks bad about his comrades. He does not have that many friends.

Attack- Mercury loves to turn into liquid and move across the room in blobs. He also likes to fire his grab buster. The Grab Buster not only does damage, but it can take p-chips, energy, weapons energy, and energy tanks. If he takes energy he will heal himself. He also can dash at times.

Weakness- Mercury can be taken down with the Mega Arm Weapon as it does serious damage to him. He also leaves himself open to attacks allowing the player several chances to fire at him. His weakness is the Black Hole as that really does severe damage to him. The problem is that can only be used against him at Wily's space ship in the rematches.

If the player defeats him they will get the grab buster weapon. The player can use it do damage and collect enemies energy to refill their own.

He is made out of Mercury and uses his grab buster to steal.

Dislikes- people talking bad about him.

He seems to like communism were only certain people have rights. Him liking communism could also be a reference to the govt taking people's property under communist govt. Mercury likes to take things that are not his. Mercury does not like law and order and supports complete anarchy. He wants to run wild without the fear of being caught. This is also why he is a very fast runner as he leaves the scene once he commits a crime.

Mercury has also been described as a hypocrite. He likes to talk about about others including his comrades behind their back. However, he cannot stand it when others do the same to him. He cannot stand it when people talk about about him. This makes him very hypocritical.

As stated his named after the planet and the liquid Mercury. Despite his flaws Terra considers him a value member of the Stardroid Unit. Wily also values him due to his ability to create crime waves. This concludes the Mercury Biography.

mercury is such a weird boss. like he literally turns into goo and steals your stuff lol. i remember playing megaman v on my game boy and being so confused when he just melted into a puddle and dashed across the screen. his grab buster weapon was kinda busted too, being able to steal health from enemies made the rest of the star droids a bit easier. his design always reminded me of a mix between a ninja and some kind of slime alien. the gb mega mans are underrated imo.
