Mega Man games are known for their unique robot masters. Mega Man and Bass continued that theme. A lot of the robot masters in Mega Man and Bass were indeed unique. Pirate Man is one of those unique robot masters that made his debut in Mega Man and Bass.

Background- Pirate Man was created by Dr. Wily to aid King, who was also created by Wily, in his attempt to take over the world. Pirate Man's mane job was to attack shipping vessels and still goods as well as cash. He was mainly doing this for king. He is one of the few robot masters in Mega Man and Bass that was created by Wily/King and was already modified by them.

It is believed that when King launched his revolt against the humans Pirate Man attacked several shipping vessels. He mainly took the goods and money. Although he was working for King. King was just a pawn for Dr. Wily's latest scheme for world domination. Basically, Pirate Man as his name implies job was to create terror at the sea.

He took over a sunken ship near were he was last operating. He turned the sunken ship into a base. He eagerly anticipated Mega Man and Bass believing he could defeat them. In Mega Man's quest Mega Man defeated him ending his reign of terror. In Bass's quest Bass defeats him and reminds him that Bass is the strongest robot in the world.

It is not known if he was rebuilt by Wily. However, it is speculated based on his CD data that he was. Probably so Wily could use him to steal loot for him. It is also revealed in his CD data that Dive Man has stopped him several times from attacking ships. Thus, it is likely he was rebuilt.

Appearance- Pirate Man is based off of a Pirate Captain. He has pink and yellow armor. He has several Jolly Rodger symbols on him. He also wears a Jolly Rodger hat. He has a hood for his left hand which he uses to fire his mines. On his other arm is a traditional buster cannon. He is also tall.

Personality- Pirate Man has a ruthless personality as he was created to show no mercy. He is very aggressive and he enjoys stealing loot. He enjoys the terror that he causes. He will do whatever it takes to earn money and to win fights. However, he is very loyal to King/Wily. He cannot stand fairness, and law and order.

Attack- Pirate Man has several attacks. He likes to flood his room a lot and control the water. The water gives him an edge in combat. He also likes to surround himself with a bubble that offers defense. He also likes to use his bubble to bounce into the player. His main attack though is his mine attack. Pirate Man will fire several mines out to try to explode into the player. He will also lay Mines out that will blow up in time.

Weakness- Pirate Man is weak to the Wave Burner. The Wave Burner pops his bubble and keeps him from using his bubble attack. Wave Burner will disrupt his mine attacks. Also its best to fight Pirate Man from a distance.

If the player defeats him they will get his remote mine weapon. The player can fire a mine and let it attach to a wall/enemy. The mines can be exploded or they can explode on their own.

Dislikes- Dive Man and fairness.

He basically has no respect for law and order. He believes he can do what he wants just because he can. Basically, he likes complete anarchy so he can pirate without getting punished. He does not like fairness because he is a pirate he prefers to be ruthless and cruel. He does not like Dive Man because Dive Man has a sense of honor about him. Moreover, Dive Man was originally created to protect ships from the likes of Pirate Man. Therefore, Dive Man has stopped Pirate Man from carrying out attacks on shipping.

He also believes in showing no mercy as I have stated. He eagerly waited for Mega Man or Bass to enter his room. He believed he could win them. In battle he is ruthless doing whatever it takes to win. Pirate Man does not fear anything. It is speculated he was rebuilt by Wily mainly to serve as a weapon for Wily to get money. Although Pirate Man is loyal to King/Wily. He can go rogue a few times especially if treasure is involved. This completes the Pirate Man biography.
