Flame Heyenard is a reploid, cyborgs with human traits, that appeared in Mega Man X7. He was a member of a criminal hunting organization before he became a maverick, which are reploids that pose a danger. He ended up dying a painful death, so let's learn about him.


Flame Heynard was a member of the criminal hunting organization Red Alert. Red Alert was not really trusted by the Maverick Hunters because they did not follow the law. On the other hand, they were also respected even by the Maverick Hunters because they kept maverick activity down. Red Alert was widely respected and seen as heroes and protectors. This is why the Maverick Hunters let them do what they wanted to do. But things started to Change. Sigma had manipulated Red Alert and infected several of its officers as Mavericks. Red had no choice but to go along with it. Axle seeing this fled and Sigma manipulated Red Alert into challenging the Maverick Hunters to a duel.

Flame Heyenard being an officer in Red Alert was one of the ones chosen by Red or actually Sigma. His role was that of a bounty hunter as he would hunt down wanted criminals before becoming a maverick. He started to become infected with the Sigma Virus. The Sigma Virus caused Hyenard to loose his mind and it caused him to be in severe pain.

After being infected Flame Heyenard took over a military industrial complex and a large rider. He waited for X, Zero and his former friend Axle. When confronted he stated that he was in severe pain. Due to him loosing his mind he believed that by killing the hunters his pain would stop. X, Zero and Axle destroyed him putting him out of his misery. X and Axle felt the most remorse. X because he felt guilty of the constant maverick wars. Axle, because Hyenard was once a friend and former comrade.

Appearance- As his name implies Flame Hyenard is based off of a hyena. His colors are also typical of most hyenas he has tan and black armor. He has a flame thrower and other flame weapons on his shoulders. He appears to be average height. He is also quick.

Personality- Before his infection he was a quite individual. He is speculated he was calm as he was a bounty hunter and an officer in Red Alert. After his infection he became insane and very delusional in his thinking. He believed the Maverick Hunters were causing his pain. Basically, he lost his ability to think logically.

Abilities- Hyena has the ability to create clones of himself similar to Gemini Man from the classic series, and Split Mushroom from Mega Man X4. He can throw fireballs. HIs body can produce unlimited amount of flames. He can also use his fire to increase temperatures around him.

Attacks- Hyena has several ways to attack his opponents. His main attack is his fireballs. Flame Hyenard will throw fireballs the fireballs can also slowly crawl on the floor or be thrown at his opponents directly. He also can turn himself into a fireball and try to dash at his opponents. He can also do this when he has his clones out. He can summon his clones around him. The clones also have the ability to throw fireballs. Another attack is he uses the rider he has occupied to shoot fire missiles at his opponent.

Weakness- He is weak to the splash laser weapon. The Splash Laser puts out his flames and cuts through his thick armor. The Splash Laser also takes out his clones.

It should be noted when he is hit he screams in pain. This is done to signal that he is a character full of pain. It was also done to show how much pain the Sigma Virus is causing him.

Flame Hyenard was once a respectable bounty hunter and officer in Red Alert. However, after getting infected by Sigma he went insane and became violent. He believed that others were responsible for his pain and suffering. X, Zero, and Axle were forced to kill him. Axle took it the hardest because he was a former friend and colleague as both were members of Red Alert. X felt guilty because he was another tragic victim. Indeed, like others Flame Hyenard is often seen as a tragic figure. This is due to him completely changing after becoming infected.
