Toxic Seahorse is a reploid, cyborgs that share human characteristics such as feeling, emotions, DNA, logical thinking, and the ability to make their own decisions, who first appeared in Mega Man X3. He eventually became a maverick, which are reploids that pose a danger to the world. Anyway, lets learn about Toxic Seahorse.


Toxic Seahorse first appeared in Mega Man X3. As his name implies he is based off a seahorse. His origins are somewhat of a mystery. It is not known who created him. However, whoever created him coated his body with a liquid material. This gave him the ability to turn into a liquid and then become a solid again. He was also given the ability to surround himself with a acid bubble to protect him from hostile environments. It is unclear what his originally role was. On the other hand, given how he can alter his matter state and surround himself with a protective acid bubble. His original role was likely to enter polluted or acidic areas to do environmental work.

Eventually, he ended up in Doppler Town. While being in Doppler Town he became a maverick due to getting infected with the Sigma Virus. Sigma ordered Dr. Doppler to upgrade him. After getting upgraded Toxic Seahorse maintained his original abilities. But now he could fire acid bubbles. He was also ordered to take over a dam near Doppler Town. Toxic Seahorse took over the city's dam and cut off the water supply. He was also going to pollute the city's water by contaminating it with his toxins and acid. Had he succeeded a lot of people could have died due to lack of water and the water being poisoned. Not only did he take over the dam personally he also set it up as a base for the mavericks.

Due to the urgency of the situation in Doppler Town. X and Zero made there way to the dam. The two hunters started to reclaim the dam from the mavericks. Eventually, the two hunters encountered Toxic Seahorse and they destroyed him. By destroying Toxic Seahorse a major crisis was avoided. In addition, the dam was liberated from maverick control especially from Sigma.

Appearance- Toxic Seahorse is a green reploid. He has a long neck and tail that is connected by spheres. He hands and feet spread out containing webbed fin like material in between them. He also has multiple crests on his back.

Personality- Before he was a maverick he was a reclusive individual and not very social. After becoming a maverick he went insane and became violent. He would attack anyone who even got close to the dam.

Abilities- As stated he can alter from a liquid state to a solid state. In other versions of Mega Man X3 during the cut scenes it is shown how he can become a liquid to go through cracks and down into sewer holes before reforming to a solid. He can surround himself with an acid bubble to protect him. After becoming a maverick he can fire acid bubbles. He has average power and his speed varies. When he is in the water he is quick on land he is slower.

Attacks- His main attack is his acid bubble known as acid bursts. Seahorse will fire acid bubbles at his opponent. The acid can corrode and damage armor. He can also turn into a liquid and ambush his opponents from behind. In addition, he can charge his attacks causing his bubbles to last longer and bound more. In the meantime he will also become faster.

Weaknesses- His attack patterns can be simple. His biggest weakness is frost shield. The frost Shield freezes him and locks him into a pattern. There are several reasons why the frost shield is likely his weakness. First, since he is a seahorse the cold is his weakness as seahorses are for the most part not found in cold water. Second, the frost shield likely penetrates his acid bubbles. Third, when liquids are frozen they turn to solid. Therefore, it keeps him from turning into a liquid. It should be noted he is not very fast outside of the water.

If the player defeats him they will get his acid bursts. The acid bursts can fire acid bubbles at enemies. It can corrode some of the tougher enemies armor.
