Serges is a maverick of the X hunter unit that first appeared in Mega Man X2. It is highly believed that Agile and Violen were created by Sigma as both of them refer to Sigma as master. However, Serges does not refer to Sigma as master.

Serges appears to be the leader or co-leader along with Agile of the X hunters. However, unlike the other two X hunters Serges background is kind of mysterious.

After X's victory in X1 their is still some mavericks left. Unknown to X Sigma had come back. The X hunters challenge X to a duel. Also unknown to X Serges built a body for Zero from scratch. X had Zero's control chip as Zero was killed in the first game.

This is why many believe that Serges is actually a reploid version of Dr. Wily. Their appears to be strong evidence that is the case. The main reason is Serges built Zero from scratch. Nobody would know about Zero's system except for his creator Dr. Wily. Second, after Serges is defeated he makes a very interesting statement. He says bested by one of Light's creations again. Later he says the prophecy is fulfilled. Here is what Serges was most likely referring too. Before Dr. Wily went haywire he wanted to create a hero type masterpiece. Wily before he died created Zero and the virus that became the Sigma Virus. Zero who is a hero along with X filled Wily's prophecy of creating a supper hero. On the other hand, Sigma fulfilled Wily's dream of a virus that could be used to rule the world. This is most likely what Serges was referring to. Since it appears Serges is Dr. Wily.

In the Japanese version after Sigma's defeat he mentions Serges and Zero being the last Wily Number. This would explain why Serges would be able to build a Zero Body from scratch. It could also explain why Wily was able to contact Sigma and tell him about Zero in later games. Although this has not been confirmed by Capcom.

Therefore, many believe Serges is a reploid version of Dr. Wily. Serges himself even seems to hint that he is Wily. He talks about Zero being the most powerful creation to exist. He is also very aware of the Sigma Virus.

Serges appears to be a strategist in the X hunters. His strategy was to rebuild Zero and make Zero a maverick again. However this failed as X recovered Zero's body and activated him. He also appears to be a scientists building things and creating more mavericks.


Serges when first counter rides on a floating platform. He attacks X with lasers and mines. He also uses a shield. In the second form at the fortress he is in a machine. The machine is very similar to some of the Machines Wily used against the original Mega Man.

Serges personality is that of a scientists who does not lose his cool. He does not panic when X advances. He also does not panic when X gets Zero's parts from him and his comrades. In addition, he comes up with strategies. He is also a planner.

What is interesting about Serges is in the Japanese Version of X5 it shows Agile and Violens body after they are destroyed. But it does not show Serge's body again showing evidence that Serges is Wily.
