Do you watch any esports regularly?

supercool22 : I prefer consoles over PC. I understand that PC is more powerful, digital PC games last forever while physical consoles and games can break, etc. But I'm a collector. I like having a collection of physical games that act as something cool to look at in addition to something fun to play.

Barathemos : I watch Melee fairly regularly. I try to watch the big events live on Twitch, but sometimes I lose track and miss them, in which case I will watch some of the more important sets on YouTube after the fact. That's pretty much it, though.

Barathemos : Absolutely. If a major or supermajor Smash event was ever within driving distance to me (as in, I could drive there and back for each day of the event without needing to get a hotel room), I would be there. I'd probably enter too, just for fun. Unfortunately, West Virginia isn't exactly a popular destination for big events, and it doesn't seem worth it to spend the money to travel to attend one right now.

Hmmmm…. Your thoughts on bots trying to make advertisements on this site? PC monitors, I don’t know POE or something and now the newest one about cognitive abilities?

becerra95 : I missed the POE and cognitive abilities ones before they were edited, but I did catch the one about PC monitors. That one was interesting because it was a two-parter. Two different accounts, both from the same IP address. The first one creating the thread asking about the best monitor, and the second account providing the response.

My thoughts? They're annoying lol. Not sure what else to say about them. I don't think it's the most effective means for advertising a product or service; there isn't really enough activity here for them to work. Especially when it's so obvious that they are not from legitimate accounts.

I'm tempted to say something like Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It's the most impressed I've ever been with a video game, and it's one of my personal favorites.

What I'm struggling with, though, is the evolution of video games over time. It's not like music, for example, which has evolved stylistically, but not it terms of what is actually possible. Sure, I guess synthesizers and electronic production weren't always possible, but they didn't lead to an objective increase in the quality of the musical experience the way that technology has with video games. The experience of a game like Breath of the Wild would not have been possible in the earlier eras of gaming; but does that make it objectively better, or more valuable, or more deserving of being preserved?

If we're going with the best representation of human achievement, I'm choosing Breath of the Wild. It's the closest any game has come to being perfect, in my opinion. If we're going for the best representation of the essence of what gaming means, though, I would have to choose something more classic. Super Mario Bros would be the obvious pick for this, like you pointed out, but I think Super Mario 64 would make even more sense. It's a great representation of what video games are all about — adventure, exploration, problem solving, and fun. The original Legend of Zelda was also be a solid pick for this reason.

Is your favorite Pokémon Eevee? Eevee is my top 10 most favorite Pokémon, especially Jolteon.

Dauntez : Yes, Eevee is my favorite Pokemon. I like all of its evolutions, but I think I would have to say that either Vaporeon or Umbreon is my favorite. I do like Jolteon a lot though, and I often choose to evolve my Eevee into Jolteon in the games because of his high special attack and speed stats.

How would you describe yourself, as a person, to someone who is writing a biography about your life up until this moment?

Stubborn, intelligent, argumentative, socially anxious. Those are the biggest ones honestly lol.

If I was provided information about the things that I do and the things I have accomplished, I would include information about being a teacher, working with kids, being a leader, etc.

I don't know, honestly. The "describe yourself" questions are always the hardest part of a job interview lol.

What is your least favorite Pokemon of all time and why?

What song have you listened repeatedly to the point where you got so sick of it that you instantly skip or change stations to avoid the music?

gamerforlifeforever: Chewtle, because it's ugly and looks more like a Digimon (or a fan-made fakemon) than a Pokemon. Just a bad design, and a boring Pokemon overall.

becerra95 : When I was younger that would happen with most songs I listened to lol. But back then I was mostly listening to radio pop music, which generally lacks substance and therefore loses it's charm pretty quickly. I don't think it really happens to much anymore. Most of the songs that I listen to a lot I do so because they are good, and even though I have listened to them a lot, I still like them, and still think they are good. I guess maybe just Juice WRLD's music in general? I was really into him from 2018 to 2021ish, but I don't listen to him nearly as much anymore.

Do you like to compete in TdV and Why?

Dauntez: I do like to compete in the TdV. I think it's fun to race against others to compile the most posts, words, CP, and actions. I've competed in a few in the past, and I won in 2019. I haven't competed much since because I simply do not have the time. I work between 60 and 80 hours a week between 2 different jobs, so that doesn't leave enough time to post and do CP actions at a high enough frequency to keep up with the competition.
