So you want to pay $2.66 for a copy of Stardew Valley, right? Well you obviously can’t since it costs $15 in America. But if you were to head on over to Argentina, you’ll find access to insane deals on digital switch games.
But buying games in Argentina is a lot harder than you think, but this guide is going to make it easier for you.
The first thing you need is an Argentina Nintendo account. This is pretty easy to make but will take a few steps to accomplish. The easiest way to do this would be to create a random Nintendo account that’s assigned to a random foreign country and then change it ti Argentina in your account settings in the website.
Next, you need to know that there’s no actual eshop. You can’t connect to the Argentina store on the Switch, you have to log into their actual store page which is at nintendo.com/es_ar/
When you’re on the store page, you can pick out what games you want and add them to your cart (Agregar al Carrito). When you’re ready to check out (Pasar for caja), there are a couple extra steps that you will have to take because the page needs to know that you’re actually in Argentina, but this is easy to get around.
It’s going to ask you for your address. Put in your real name, address, city, and phone number. But for state/Province, put Buenos Aires and for CPA put B1631IUD. Then obviously put in Argentina. Once you continue, you will go to payment info and it will ask you for your card info and yes, they take American cards.
On the payment page, it’s going to give you 5 boxes to fill in which are number, expiration date, first name, last name, and security code in that order. Just fill that in and press “to pay”
If you did everything correctly, then your order will be processed and you’ll get an email with a key that can be put into your normal account. There’s a small chance that your order might not go through. For instance, your specific card might not work internationally. If that happens, you can always get a prepaid card from a place like Rite Aid or 711.
There’s also a chance that you forgot to log into the account on your actual switch.
Here are some examples of what games you can buy in the Argentina eshop (There aren’t many to begin with but the sales are worth it) and their prices at the time of writing (including sales)
