So, it's a shame this game isn't playable on this site especially on retroarch it seems that you would have to install some kind of module in order to be able to play this online. Trouble is I wouldn't know which version to look for when reviewing this, however I looked online it seems that this is the closest so I'll place the review here, and now it's time for another edition of Summer Gaming MAME-ories, this time we are leaving the time machine at home. Why? because there are at least two places I know of that still has this game running (I hope) One of them being the Famous Players at KP, the other being at the C'mon Inn in Grand Forks, North Dakota, and since I've spent at least two vacations there it qualifies for the Summer Gaming Mame-ories, I really wanted to go to FP KP yesterday to play this game again just to prepare for this but, the theater is only open for those that have both of their COVID vaccine doses, and I don't get my second dose til Saturday and even so I can't get my Vax card until two weeks after I get the second dose. I've talked enough, it's time to review the game
Gameplay and story: It's a racing game you don't really have a story, just hope you place first for a free game (it's an arcade version) and I don't think I have ever won a game on that thing
Graphics: they're actually quite spectacular to be honest
Soundtrack: the game itself has an impressive soundtrack but it actually depends on which version you are playing
Addictive: I put so many quarters in this thing in July of 2004 (we had to take this trip because we were originally supposed to go to BC to visit relatives but I got sick and it derailed our plans
Depth and difficulty(yes I'm merging these): They only offer two cars and three courses and it depends on the difficulty, like the beginner course is 8 laps and the intermediate is 4 laps and the advanced course is only two laps, so the stretches must be long
Post Review Follow-up: I actually love this game, I have a soft spot for racing games because they're kind of relaxing, don't get me wrong I have high praises for Mario Kart and Road Rash but sometimes a good plain racing game still has it's charm. So I'm kind of sad that soon I will have to end the Daytona USA PC playings as I'm about to be on the last car.
Well this concludes my Review, next week will conclude my Summer Gaming MAME-ories with Superman, but please do join me tomorrow when I review Nancy Drew Danger on Deception Island
Man I had better start replaying this game so I can pre-write the review so I'll have it ready for next week.
