Local Moderators are important to the site even in this day and age and I want that to keep being the case so I'm hoping to use Locals as a way to promote activity to the site. I don't plan on being as strict when it comes to requirements to apply as we might of been in the past as I believe the site could use the boost in activity whether that be old moderators or new faces to the team. If your wondering why you should try your hand at being a moderator when it's volunteer work the only incentives I can really give is a chance to move up in the site and the friends you make along the way.


Quota will be handled quarterly you will be expected to post 30 times every quarter failure to do so without solid reasoning will result in termination.


This thread will be kept open as long as we are accepting new people applying and the only thing I really want from an applicant is a post explaining why you want to be a Local Moderator.

well you've clearly got tons of applicants, this thread is really popping off.

I Used to be a mod and I wouldn't mind being one again, why? one sole reason. I want to see what goes on in the mod only threads and discord chats.

my posts don't hit the ever important "quarterly post quota" and my reason for wanting it may not be ideal, so I figure the only way ill get it is if you messed up making the thread and made it sound like such serious business that no one applies leaving me to be your only option.

on this active of a forum I'm sure there's no chance ill ever be the last applicant available but why not give it a shot.

plus, if you choose me you'll get 30, wonderful, well meaning, non-passive-aggressive posts like this once per quarter, and can you really pass that up.

drag00n365 : I just wanted to clarify that no one needs to already hit quota to apply someone who applies and gets local would have more motivation then someone who has to post and hope to get local. Also it seems not everyone is completely sure if your applying seriously or not or if it's you being sarcastic so if you would be so kind to clarify the team would appreciate it.

I might as well give this another go, it's been a few years since I last applied for anything.

I have experience as a local mod, doing so in the summer of 2016 (jeez that was a long time ago), and have held different site staff positions ever since.

I can certainly be moderately active again, given the incentive of having a job to do, and 30 posts would be no problem each quarter. I remember the good days of it being 100 a month.

I know I'm a little out of touch with the current community, but do recognize a lot of familiar faces still around, and have worked with just about every member of the current staff before.

I think this would be a great opportunity for me to get back into the Vizzed life and on the boards again.

SonicOlmstead : I would like to try to become a local mod. I have mod on discord for few discord servers, I do now have exp now on stuff is going on and more, etc. I know I have change a lot lately.

If you don't mind, I wouldn't mind taking a shot at applying ^^ Assuming that's allowed, seeing as how the thread is still open and all.

I think the simplest reason I want to be a mod is because it sounds like fun! I really enjoy doing online janitorial type work, having done discord modding stuff quite a lot lately on top of some reddit modding in the past. It's a great way to help lift your online community up and ensure it's as healthy and friendly as it possibly can be!

I do have a little bit of modding experience on here till life got in the way. Hopefully with the new year the activity will increase to make it more experience worthy since right now things are really slow. Either way if you do let me become local could I also keep the Content adder role? I know I could do it anyways as a local.

I've been a local twice before (in 2016 and 2020-21) and felt I did a pretty good job until life took me away from the site for some time. With things sorted out, I have plenty of time to watch the site and make the quota.

I guess if you gander taking interest in me, I certainly wouldn't mind applying to become a Moderator myself and all.

Obviously reason being is I have quite a bit of experience with the site itself and know at least someof the original users lol

Less then obvious reason but still important is I've been a moderator for some bigger Discord servers, including that of Power Star Frenzy (Now defunct) and Aurascope, just Game servers I happened to be at least relatively active in.

I do got a bit of knowledge about this stuff and I'm pretty happy to help out in general

I thought this thread was closed my first couple times back to the board then a recent reply had me thinking if I wanted to be local again.

I'd like to do it again. It would be like the good old days, but admittedly would be quite a bit lazier than 500-1000 posts a month.

I was a local moderator from 2010 to 2014, though I may be getting the year I quit wrong since it's been so long. I just know I was still in high school when I started working at another site.

I know how to keep a community busy with things to discuss so long as they're drawn in.

The quota is fine but I don't plan on going lower than twice times that to do the job effectively. I do have a full time job and numerous full time hobbies that most people just pick one of, but I like keeping busy.

I will abuse my limited powers for petty things and no reason. Especially when I’m bored.

I will look through reports and try to start a fire on anything that has cases against me. I’m a pure saint and no reason I should be reported, they’re liars

I have been a local mod before, albeit for a brief time. Last time I didn't apply to be a moderator, I was asked to be one. I ended up going inactive. I won't do that this time — not without notice, at least. I am actively choosing to take this on, and I understand that doing so comes with obligations.

I've been a rented forum moderator for a few different rented forums over the years. I've been Site Staff in a few different roles. I have a history of providing the site with activity when I feel the passion to, and right now I am feeling that passion.

I had some issues with a few users when I was much younger, back in 2015, but I've matured since then and I like to think that I get along pretty well with everyone.

I've always enjoyed helping people, and if there is still a need for moderators, and if you'll have me, I'd love to help out the community a little bit.
