General Gameplay:
- You must match 3 or more of the same colored balls to eliminate.
- The same-colored balls can be attracted to each other, if they are next to each other, and far apart.
- If you eliminate the balls in a sequence, you will cause a chain, and will get you a big score.
- If any ball touches the red on the track, a brief strobe will initiate, and the warning music will start to play.
- The only way to stop the warning music from playing is when the leading ball is far away from the red on the track.
- If the balls touch the dead end, your game will be over.
- In case of VS Mode on Stage Mode, you can continue the game given that you have extra credits. For each continue, you spend one credit.

Panic Mode:
- According to the description, there are four loops of tracks in this game which means you will see the most amount of balls in the screen. In addition, due to this nature, the bomb (detonator) will cause multiple chain reactions.
- There are 100 levels in Panic Mode. It is almost impossible for a normal player to complete all 100 levels in Panic Mode. A professional Puzz Loop 2 player can complete around 70 to 80 levels.
- The balls will start slow, but as the game progresses, the balls will move faster on the track. - In the last levels (Level 90-100), the balls will move extremely fast, even if the balls touch the red on the track, and won't slow down until they touch the dead end.
- Every 10 levels, a bomb and a rocket will appear.
- A good use of the bomb can help you a lot, and give you a big score.
- Simply shoot the rocket to eliminate it. If you can't, try eliminating the marbles in front of the rocket.
- If you eliminate marbles in front of the rocket, you will get bonus points.

Stage Mode:
- You must complete 25 different stages to complete this mode.
- Items are helpful, and you can use it whenever you want to use them.
- The level will be cleared, once all of the balls are eliminated.
- If you continue, one point will be added to your score.
- Gems are hidden in every level whether in chests or outside. Gems boost your score.

VS Mode:
- Your goal is to get 200 balls without the balls touching the dead line.
- If you clear the balls in a sequence, spiked balls will be sent to the opponent.
- There are 2 to 3 rounds. Versus Mode may continue if you spend credits.

Power Mode:
- There are 3,000 balls to clear in Power Mode. A professional Puzz Loop 2 player can clear around 1,500 to 2,000 balls. In addition, there are different targets (it starts with 100) to clear a number of balls.
- You can change the color of the power balls.
- If the balls are in the same color, power balls can crush other small balls, and attract to each other.
- There must be 3 power balls in the same color to be eliminated.
- It is possible for the power balls to be in a sequence in order to form a chain reaction with the power balls.
- There is a easier version of Power Mode, which you only need to clear 600 balls. This is basically a beginner version of Power Mode, and there are no leaderboard for that version.

Items:
- Snail: It is a equivalent to the modern-day decelerator, and slows all incoming balls by half the speed for eight seconds.
- Timer/Clock: It is a equivalent to the modern-day suppressor, and stops all incoming balls for eight seconds.
- Bomb: It is a equivalent to the modern-day detonator, and eliminated all of the same-colored balls in the screen. This is one of the very powerful items as it can initate multiple chain reactions and give you high scores.

Obstacles:
- Bearings: The bearings are the transparent, bubble-like balls. To clear bearings, you must clear the balls adjacent to the bearings. If the balls are adjacent to bearings in both sides, a bearing in both sides will clear.
- Tornadoes: Tornadoes move along the track to block the launching balls.
- Moles: A group of moles will block the launching balls. While it has a longer range of blockage, it can only block the launching balls temporarily. In addition, when the moles move, they are unable to block the launching balls.
- Bats: The purple bats fly along the track. They will look for big gaps, and will put bearings on big gaps, which will likely impede your progress. To prevent this, close the gaps by attracting the same-colored balls to each other.
- Burning balls: The burning balls turn adjacent balls into bearings, and if it is not stopped early enough, burning balls turn adjacent balls into bearings in BOTH directions.
- Tunnels: The tunnels skip over the current loop of tracks, but will be able to clear balls in the outer loop.
- Skulls: The skulls that are hit will make certain balls in front of it advance towards the dead end. If it is close enough to the dead end, your game will be over.
- Portals: All of the incoming balls will teleport from the black portal to the adjacent while portal.

Leaderboard:
- You will see the leaderboard in the following modes: Panic Mode, Stage Mode and Power Mode (normal).

Other Information:
- Level 3-4F is the only level that displays all eight colors of balls.
- Levels 5-1I and 5-5I are two levels that have four tracks. That significantly raises the difficulty level.
